Dysali frowned at the pile of straps in her lap and threw them away irritably. Blast D'ren! The canine had been the farthest thing from cheering him up. In fact, it had annoyed him. So much so that she hadn't even talked to him for a few days after, just to give him some 'space'. She was starting to wonder if she and D'ren would survive this latest trouble.
She sighed and snapped at the little canine as he jumped onto the straps."Get out of those, Wags!" What was wrong with her? She would bite the head off of the nicest person in the Weyr today.
She stood up to get some juice and noticed Lillyth on the ledge, asleep, but she looked really good. _Really_ good. Realization crept into Dysali's sea blue eyes and she changed her mind about juice, and instead went to stand beside her green dragon. Any moment now...
The eyes snapped open and Lillyth's green body arched and stretched sensuously. Lillyth had just eaten a day or two ago, so she didn't head for the feeding pens. Instead, she soared across the weyrbowl and screamed a challenge, giving her suitors time to see her in Flight. Dysali was deposited like so much baggage, already losing herself in Lillyth's needs.
Fighting off the roil of emotions that was coming hard and fast from Lillyth, it was only one bugle later that riders started pouring around her, their dragons watching as hungrily as Lillyth was moving to the rim, then arrowing straight up into the air followed by brown and blue bodies, and even two bronzes.
A swallow of relief as she recognized Menanth, hard on "his" green's tail. Even though he did not always catch her, he caught her more than he didn't.
But D'ren... maybe not this time...
And then it was too late, Dysali and Lillyth became one, neither caring who filled their needs as long as they were met...
J'mal was one of he first dragonriders to reach the greenrider, his brown already giving a merry chase. He managed to get a decent look at her. Petite, cute, nice curves. That was what he took in before his brown's mind seem to take over his own and he lost himself into the lust. Bodily, he moved closer, as if his nearness would help his brown to catch the green treasure that danced before him.
D'ren stepped closer, too. He needed this. He needed the rush, and to lose himself in his dragon, and to have Flight lust wash everything else away. **Catch her! Catch her!** he urged as his mind slipped, melding with his bronze.
}:Lillyth is mine. No other will have her!:{ Menanth assured his rider as he followed the darting green.
}:Lillyth!:{ called Naath. Despite the bronze's recent success in catching a gold, it had never stopped him chasing after the greens. }:You need someone with experience, someone who can satisfy you, choose me!:{ I'lan found himself drawn to the small group surrounding Dysali. Maybe Naath would win a flight again. He felt the heat of the flight lust beginning to build in him as Naath gave a challenging bugle.
Lillyth crowed with delight as she saw the fine suitors chasing her, and with a sudden change of direction, turned almost straight up, her wings straining as she rose fast and furious. They would have to work for her! But two bronzes! Pleased she sent especially inviting croons to both Menanth and Naath.
Dysali swayed in the midst of familiar ..and unfamiliar.. arms and hands. She was drawn to D'ren, as ever, but she could not tell really, who was around her now. She moved back the other direction in response to Lillyth's darting.
}:Catch me if you can!:{ She/they taunted, turning on a wingtip yet again.
Eerith, J'mal's lifemate hissed softly and darted after the crafty green, determined to gain her. He would not go down without a fight. He made a straight shot after her, eyes fixated upon her glowing form. After a moment, he veered slightly to the right and tried to increase his speed to gain upon her and come alongside of her. Every movement drove him forward, the gleam of her hide teased her.
On the ground, J'mal seemed to fall into the rhythm of the movement of the others, his arms reaching for his, eyes glazed as he was not his own. He touched her once, only to have her move away. The short contact fairly drove him mad and his dragon trumpeted in the air.
Menanth's powerful wings sliced through the air as he followed the green. His green. His mate. A few blues were ahead of him, but he wasn't worried. They were faster, but he was stronger, smarter and he had caught Lillyth before. In the echo of his rider's emotions, there was nothing but encouragement and determination. They would have their mates again.
**You can do it,** urged I'lan, both mentally and verbally. And Naath sensed the encouragement, diving around the other bronze to bring the beautiful green prize into his view. }:Pick me!:{ Another swerve in the air and two blues dropped, but her bronze suitors were hard after her. Which one? Menanth was familiar and had caught her before and she longed for him with the part that was Dysali, but Naath was fast and strong and handsome, too.
She chose.
She dropped toward both of them, but had gone on too long and misjudged her angle.
It was Naath who caught her triumphantly, and it was toward I'lan whom Dysali fell, hungry to fill her/their needs with a frenzy almost different from all Lillyth's previous flights.
And with welcome in his arms, the bronzerider held the greenrider close. His lips met hers for a kiss, filled with the passion that flowed from his dragon.
