Description: Zelle and J'darin just keep on acting silly thanks to a bit too much wine.
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 10, day 16 of Turn 4
Zelle didn't move from J'darin's lap, but picked up her glass and waved it before his eyes. "I'm all gone." She stated, then giggled again.
"I think there is more there... " He waved his own empty glass in the direction of the table. He shifted her from his lap and tried to get up. He failed at it though and collapsed back onto the couch with a hmmph. "I think you got me drunk, greenrider."
Zelle laughed and manage to stumble over to the table. She grabbed at the bottle and managed to grasp it on the third try, then stumbled back over to the bronzerider. She some how missed a step, or maybe it missed her, or perhaps they missed one another, but she found herself half on the couch, half on his lap, his face close to hers, the bottle pressed between them. She blinked at him, started, then laughed low in her throat. "My dear Darin," She stated softly, "I think you got me dunk...dunk...drunk."
"Not Darin! J'darin! Get it sright...right.. .. Can' speak...." He looked at her, how close she was, but his vision blurred. "Any more in tha' bottle?" He tried to grab it, overcompensated and fell off the couch to the stonefloor. When he hit the floor he started to laugh, and couldn't seem to stop.
The greenrider let out a squeal, then began to laugh with the weyrleader. She stopped after a moment, then reached up, patting his cheek. "See...now, I ha' t' call ya' Darin, cause it bothers you."
She stopped patting, then, her hand cupping his cheek, then a finger slowly tracing a path across it.
He smiled at her blearily, fighting the urge to lean into her fingertips. Maurgen would not like _that_! Drunk was no excuse. "I will snot.. not... tolerates insubordination from you, greenrider.
Snot!" He pushed against her, nudging her backwards.
Zelle squealed as she landed on the ground. She rolled around, laughing, then after a moment, breathless she exclaimed, "I've fallen, and I can't get up!"
J'darin peered at her from his place on the floor, and started laughing with her. "I can't get you up. I'm drunk!" He just lay back and laughed. Drunks found the oddest things funny.
}:You have had alot of that liquid. It is making you laugh more than ever! What is funny?:{ He poked at Zelle with his foot. "Heeesh.. Hasaarsh.. err..
Hasath...err .. my dragon! wants to know what is so funny. Do you know?"
Zelle managed to get up to a sitting position, shook her head, then wavered, her smile fading. "Whoa...don' feel s'good."
"Uh oh, Zellie. Better go ummm.. " He reached for the table, staggering to his feet. He almost fell down again, but tossed an empty container that had held a klah jug and some meat rolls at one point to her. "ummm need tha'?"
Zelle tried to get to her feet, but she was not nearly as steady as J'darin. She fell back down, laughed for a brief second, then groaned.
J'darin staggered on his way to empty his bladder. But he only made it as far as his bed. Face down, he fell forward, passed out completely. Not a very good host!
"Hey...hey!" Zelle tried to stand up and managed to do it, then stumbled over to the bed. She fell upon it, or rather, upon J'darin, then giggled.
"You kay?"
He only grunted noncommittally and made room for her next to him.
"Tri..tir..tired! Sleep now."
"Tired." Zelle scooted up onto the bed, snuggling close to J'darin. She reached up and traced a line from J'darin's forehead to the tip of his nose.
He blew up at her fingers and his eyes closed solidly. "Sleep.. too much wine, woman. Got to 'leep. Weyrleader struff.. stsuf...stuff to do. "
Zelle laughed, throwing her arm over the weyrleader and murmuring as she placed her head upon his shoulder. "Shtuff."
Her only answer was the shifting of his body, automatically to fit with hers, and a loud snore.
