Description: Zeb and Sol might have peeked in the bathing pool...
Location: River Bluff Weyr
Date: month 9, day 27 of Turn 4
Planning to meet U'das a little later in the evening, Solieira stopped into the kitchens to check on the night baking. Even though it was spring and not yet summer, they still did the bulk of their baking in the evenings when it was cooler.
Seeing that the bakers were readying themselves, and that everything was in hand, she decided to offer herself a bit of luxury and take a trip to the bathing pools to refresh before visiting U'das.
Pausing by her weyr to pack a small carisak of clothes and sweetsand, she wrapped herself in a loose robe and made her way to the pools smiling, breathing in the spring night.
"Well, hello there. Heading my way?" Zeb asked, falling into step with the Headwoman, a towel drapped over his arm and a small sack slung over his shoulder.
She was almost startled by his sudden appearance next to her, but she turned to smile warmly at Zeb. "Well, if isn't the Master Geologist.
Checking out the evening scene, are you? And I'm headed your way if you're going to the pools." She winked, knowing he was with his towel in plain sight.
"Lovely. Someone to scrub my back!" He grinned, noticing that she had tied her robe very loosely indeed.
She was far from shy, and a robe meant less things to worry with in the bathing pools. A grin back at him. "Only if you'll scrub mine.
Always nice to have a little help with those .. hard to reach.. spots, don't you think?"
"Most definitely," Zeb agreed and leaned a little closer, getting an even better view of what her robe barely concealed, and murmured conspiritorially, "Got any other hard to reach spots I can help you with?"
A mischievous wink as they arrived at the pools. "Perhaps I do..
we'll have to wait and see, won't we?" She glanced into the pools and smiled. There were a couple riders here already, though she couldn't decide if that was good or bad. She had a brief moment of wondering what U'das would think of her sharing a bath with Zeb, but decided he wouldn't care. Neither would she, truth be known.
"You sure you don't mind an old Headwoman for your back scrubber?
Wouldnt you rather a young attractive greenrider, hmm?"
"Young attractive greenriders may have a lot of experience scrubbing dragons, but I think I'd rather a woman with a bit more experience with men." He gave her a knowing wink. "Our skin can be a little more senstive, you know."
Solieira grinned back, as if she knew a secret no one else did. "You are certainly showing the wisdom of your turns, Zeb." She ran a finger down her own bare neck and chuckled. "Sensitive, yes, I suppose so."
Her robe was soon slipped off, revealing a trim, if aged, body. She kept fit caring for dragonriders, who were mostly in disgustingly good physical shape. There was nothing of modesty about her movements, and they were almost deliberate, knowing she was being watched. She slid into the warm waters, beckoning him in as well. "I find I like men with more experience myself."
"Age breeds experience they say." Zeb also was in good shape for a man his age. Turns of carrying a sack on his back through the wilderness had ensured that. He didn't hurry over to the bathing pool, but rather gave her a moment to admire him, which he was sure she was doing with his back turned to her as he pulled out his sweetsand and hand towel.
She chuckled dryly as he took his time getting into the water. She watched him for a moment, catching herself comparing his lines to those of U'das. Dragonriders just had a different look, almost, or so it seemed. "Moving a little slow in your old age, are you?" She teased him deliberately, instead.
"I have learned to be patient and very thorough," he grinned as he slipped into the water beside her and leaned back against the well-worn stone. "Sometimes it's better when you take your time."
Solieira laughed at that, nodding in agreement. "Slow and steady wins the Flight?" She leaned back next to him, letting the warm water wash over her muscles as she started to later sweet sand in her hands.
Perhaps she would wash his back, after all.
