Aishara

Aishara

Aishara walked out of her grandmother's weyr feeling shamed, irritated and puzzled at the same time. She couldn't believe she had just snapped at her granny like that, but she could not help it either. She really should turn around and apologize her but she was feeling too...proddy to do it. She have been unusually snappish the last few days. What was wrong with her?

A loud, challenging trumpet interrupted her thoughts. She had heard it before, it was green's call for males when she was about to rise. But what really made her stop on her feet was the strong wave of lust/hunger that hit her. "Ayumith!" she yelled. So, that's why she's been so odd. Ayumith was rising. She broke into a run towards the feeding grounds.

**Blood only!** Aishara screamed angrily when Ayumith swooped down and snatched the herdbeast.

K'ldan lifted his head as the sound of a green's bugle combined with his own mates answering call. **Shards no!** Sonyth took flight, leaping high off the ledge, without waiting for his rider to appear from inside the weyr. Shaking his head, he followed out to the ledge and watched in dismay as his lifemate alighted on the rocky ledge high above the feeding grounds. If he was quick enough, he may make it to the grounds himself, before the green took flight. Turning, he raced inside to the corridor within the rock and made his way down to ground level as fast as was safely possible.

}:Ayumith!:{ Naath informed I'lan. }:She's rising.:{ I'lan wasn't sure whether to get too excited yet, the bronze had yet to win a flight, no matter how hard he tried. Still he followed the sound of the bugling dragon, assuming that would lead him to find the rider.

K'ldan managed to make it to the feeding grounds in record time. His eyes searching the heights for the errant Sonyth. }:We watch and wait:{ his lifemate informed him. He could see the anticipation in his dragon, even from the distance between them, as Sonyth's tail flicked back and forth impatiently.

Aosorath dropped his rider down near the others and sprang aloft to find a spot to wait for the gleaming green beauty he had his eye on. D'cal hurried over to join the circle, his eyes falling on the young woman in the middle. He didn't know her, but already he wanted her, the same as his blue lifemate wanted hers.

Rahmuth joined the growing ring of males around the blooding green. The brown trumted his challenge. Sh'dori eyed the girl in the middle of attention. She looked so young! **Must still be a weyrling. The weyrlings seem to get younger and younger every turn.**

Ayumith suddenly dropped the heardbeast and with defiant call, launched to the air. Aishara's feelings were mixed. She was nervous, excited, apprehensive and filled with lust.

Rahmuth was among the first to sprung after the glowing green. }: My beauty!:{ he called her, }: be mine! :{ With an answering bugle, Sonyth took flight, the power in his wings taking him high with the first bound. The sun glinted off his blue hide, deepening the blue to a sapphire colour as he rose higher and higher. He would not be denied the opportunity to take Ayumith for his own, determination showed in every beat of his wings.

But there was one determined bronze; one yet to win a flight who took to the air. Naath called out to Ayumith. }:Forget them, choose me,:{ he called to the young green. }:A beauty such as you deserves only the best.:{ Ayumith dared a backward glance. She was quite pleased to see how many she had attracted. She danced thru the air: dip, ascend, barrel roll, turn on the wing tip, twist, loop, dove inside a cloud, she used every trick she knew or could invent.

Aosorath was small and fast like the green and he did his best to stay right on her tail. He knew he could not outlast the bronzes for stamina, and so he was trying to make up for it in speed and agility.
If he could just get a little closer...

After his first energetic burst of speed, Sonyth found the higher altitudes the chase was taking, were becoming too much for him. He found he was concentrating more on keeping himself in the air, than enjoying the chase. With a concerted effort he pushed himself higher, but it was too much. He may be one of the larger blues of the Weyr, but he just wasn't up to the chase, this time.

Rahmuth rather rudely cut in right in front of a another chasing male.
He ignored the indignant roar and concentrated on gaining on the glowing green.

Ayumith suddenly dropped altitude so fast, that she left all her chaser, especially the larger ones, far behind. But she was also tiring. Her aerial dance had made her wing's ache. She was getting desperate, she must choose soon. Her speed started to slow down and turns were getting more predictable.

Aosorath was also begining to tire. He knew he had one more chance before he would drop out of the race yet again unsatisfied. Sliding under a brown, he watched the lovely green carefully, almost willing her to try another dive. Almost as if she were responding to his desires, the green folded her wings. The little blue saw his chance and dove after her. When she spread her wings once more to carry herself aloft, the blue was just above her waiting. }:This one is mine!:{ he cried triumphantly as he wrapped his neck and tail around hers. This time, for the _first_ time, Aosorath would not return unsatisfied!

Where did he come? Aosorath had taken Ayumith by surprise. But she didn't mind that. He was proven himself worthy by doing so.

Disappointed Rahmuth roared his dissatisfaction to the world. Sometimes he was just too big for the fast greens and too brown for the golds.
His rider was already looking for willing company to get rid of flight lust.
