Location: Dragonsfall Weyr
Date: month 3, day 13 of Turn 4

It was such a nice day. For a cold muddy spring anyways. The sun was shining and the dragons were out sunning themselves after the clouds of the other day.

Saria'd let Scout off his lead to explore ahead of her, he'd always come at her beck and call so she wasn't scared of him running off. She decided to take a leisurly walk around the Weyr lake before heading in to begin her next baking project. The voices hadn't stopped, only now they came even when there wasn't any wind. Saria ignored them. Halfway around the lake she noticed a greenrider washing her dragon. She'd always liked the green dragons, they were always so sweet and kind.

"Good morning." She called to the greenrider. "Do you need any help?" She loved te fact that she could wash dragons now that she lived at the weyr. She loved to be close to them and feel them close to her.

Karri didn't recognize the woman, but there were so many at the Weyr, it wasn't surprising. "Sure thing! Elliath is always big enough for two." Saria grabbed a spare brush and began to scrub the green dragon. Scout came over and sniffed around the dragon's feet.

Elliath craned her neck down towards the creature in amusement. }:Does that thing like me? :{
**Maybe, I think it's just curious.** Karri replied, then said aloud so the woman wouldn't be caught off guard. "Dear, why don't you move all the way into the water so that we can get each side of you?" Scout yelped at the swell of water and jumped back onto dryer land. Saria began to scrub on the dragon again. "I'm not sure if Scout likes you greenrider, he hasn't really had the chance to meet you before." She said casually. "I'm Saria, by the way." She continued, like she hadn't even known she'd heard the rider's dragon.

"I'm Karri." she replied and looked over at the pup on the beach. "When we get done, I'll come over and introduce myself to you."

}:And me too? :{ the green dragon asked.

The brush dropped from Saria's hand as she looked at the dragon in disbelief. Did the dragon just... nah it was impossible. "That would be great," she said, picking up the brush. Maybe she should see a mind healer...

}: She needs to brush highter, I itch.:{ Elliath told Karri.

"Elliath says to please brush higher for her itch." Karri relayed with a smile. }: Thank you. :{ the green dragon purred in pleasure as the woman adjusted the brush to tackle the itch. Th brush fell to the ground again, making a splash in the shallow water. Saria slutched her chest as she stared at the dragons head. It couldn't have, it was impossible. But the eveidence was still rolling about her head. The dragon had spoke to her. Everything suddenly made sense. The voices at night, the one sided conversations she heard in the morning, they were dragons. Even that bit of conversation on her first day here, that was a dragon too. Saria turned to the greenrider up on her dragon's back.

"She just spoke to me." Saria said in shock.

"She did?" **You did?** Karri said suprised as she looked from the woman to her dragon.

}: I told her thank you. :{ Elliath explained, nonplussed. Huh... she'd never talked to anyone else before (she didn't think) but she knew that dragons could talk to whomever they wished to. "Sorry if she startled you, dragons can talk to non-dragonriders if they want. It doesn't happen very often, but she wanted to thank you for helping wash her."

"But I heard that too!" She exclaimed pointing at the dragon's head. "She told you she said 'Thank you'!" Now that she had a glimpse that she was sane she ahd to grab it and hold on for dear life. "And that's not the first time. I heard tell you about her itch. And that brown who brought me here, he was talking to Kio!
It wasn't the rider." She spun in a little circle in her glee, spraying water everywhere. "And all the voices they're _real_, don't you see? I'm not crazy!" Saria was so excited that she didn't realize she was rambling. "So if I can hear them, then can they here me?" She didn't wait for Karri to answer but turned to Elliath. **Can you hear me?** she asked. Hoping, needing for the dragon to hear her.

}: Yes. :{ Elliath replied. Karri was confused by this woman, who dispite her claim otherwise, did in fact appear a bit crazy. "Dragons can talk to whoever they want..."
she said slowely, "But maybe you should go talk to a healer?" Saria grinned from ear to ear. "But its not just Elliath. It was Logodith, and Forth, and Skylisth and dozens of others. I've heard entire conversations I thought were in my head, but they were dragons!" She did a small twirl in her excitement. "I have to go. But thank you Karri, and thank you Elliath." With a grin that she was sure would split her face, Saria ran off.
