B'ram

B'ram

The bluerider grinned as he lightly ran the tip of a finger along the lightly tanned throat. Shards, but she was beautiful. Her luxuriously long white-blonde hair was tossed carelessly across the pillow, her light eyelashes dancing over secret dreams. The corners of her mouth were curled ever so slightly in a naturally seductive smile. His fingers reached up to touch her lips lightly before traveling lower to the hollow of her throat, and lower still to a slightly darkened spot between her breasts. He felt a vain satisfaction knowing that mark was made with his lips. L'kub leaned down to kiss it softly. She was just so beautiful, sometimes it took his breath away. Shards, but he couldn't wait for her to wake up. He sighed and rested his head back down on the pillow beside her and watched her a while as she slept.

It wasn't too long before Traelyn stirred quietly, as if she could feel his eyes on her, as if she could feel him willing her to wake up. The slight smile that had been touching her lips grew as she stretched, toes brushing down his thighs, eyes still closed. "Was that you I felt a little bit ago?" Her voice was a soft murmur, still muzzy with sleep.

His smile deepened as his fingers ran lightly down her side as she stretched, admiring her once more. "I've been in this bed all night and I don't remember anyone else coming in, so I'd have to say yes, it was most likely me."

Grinning, she cracked open an eye to look up at him. "Just makin' sure it wasn't just in my dream..." She hid a yawn behind her fist before giving him another, sleepy grin, scooching over so she could rest comfortably closer against him. "Did we kick all the furs onto the floor?" she asked, closing her eyes again as she nuzzled his shoulder.

"Well, we weren't exactly cold last night anyway." He kissed her forehead softly, breathing her in. His arms wrapped around her, pulling her close.

"Not last night, no," she chuckled, curling an arm around his, silently admiring the hard definition. "But now... I'm a little cold." One long, lean leg slid against his suggestively. "And I'm feelin' too sharding lazy to roll over and grab them up off the floor."

"Hmmm, well, then I guess I'm just going to have to warm you up." L'kub rolled over on top of her, leaning back to look down on her, delighting in the feeling of their skin sliding along each other. "Body heat should work, right?"

"I would think so." Traelyn gazed up into his eyes, running her fingers through his soft hair, brushing the strands away from his face only to have them fall into his eyes. She smoothed her hand through his hair again, but this time to keep it at the back of his neck, nails gently rubbing in the way she knew he loved. "And maybe when I wake up more, we can try other things I know you want to try to, ah...keep me warm." This time her smile was impish, for she could feel just how much he was enjoying their proximity.

"Well, I could get started and you can catch up when you're ready," he murmured, leaning down to nip at her collarbone softly. It was amazing how they could spend a night together and still want each other so badly in the morning. He wondered if these feelings would ever go away. People always said the wonder would fade eventually, but he just couldn't believe it. How could he ever stop wanting to feel like this?

Her laugh was breathy. "Don't get _too_ far ahead of me now, L'kub," she teased, running her hands down his sides to rest on his hips, shifting so she could align them with hers. Not that he had ever gotten too far ahead before...

"Hmmm... It seems you _will_ have to catch up," he grinned moving up to kiss her lips softly. "And I think we should take all morning to make sure you do. Let's not meet the guys. Let's just stay here today. We'll tell them we're sick or something."

"Oh, I'm sure they'll believe that," she snorted, rubbing her cheek along his arm. Shards, with him looking at her with those eyes and that grin, and with the way his body was sliding against hers so deliciously, she couldn't imagine moving anywhere at all.

"No, they could probably guess that we decided that spending a day in bed with each other was more appealing than following B'ram on another one of this grand adventures," L'kub chuckled, brushing his nose against hers. "But I really couldn't care less."

Traelyn grinned before she gave him a kiss. "Our...adventures...are just as grand, I think. And we still have so much more territory to explore completely."

"Hmmm, yes," he agreed, running his fingers along her thigh, "there's some territory I think I would love to be more familiar with. Let's just stay here today. We can ask to have our meals brought up, you have a bathing pool right here in your own weyr..."

"Mmmmmm." A hot bath would be very nice after this next round of loving. Actually, food first--and klah, of course--and _then_ a nice, long soak.... She smiled. Not that there'd be much soaking really going on anyway, but... "Yes. We'll stay in." Her arms wrapped tighter around him, stroking smooth, warm skin as they slid around. "I don't think we've ever spent a whole day making love before." Her smile grew softer, mirroring the sudden expression in her eyes--the look she saved for him, and for him alone. "I think we're going to have to do this more often, L'kub."

"If we'll even be able to walk after today," he chuckled.

She actually blushed. "Well, there's only one way to find out, isn't there?"

Shards.... Shivering--and not from the balmly air hitting her bare skin--Traelyn lifted her lips to B'ram's, kissing him slowly, softly. She wasn't sure how long they both could keep this up, but she was willing to go as far as she had to if it meant she could experience something reminiscent of what she had felt with L'kub all those Turns ago.

It was worth the damnation they put themselves through.
