Curled up next to him on the couch in his weyr, Dysali was contentedly running her fingers along his thigh. She had been so thrilled that he had wanted her to meet his family. A soft sigh escaped as images of future visits with them filled her head, some showing her pregnant, all showing she and D'ren closer than ever, and at last being part of a _family_ again. The warmth was nearly irresistible, and she didn't know how she had survived for so many turns without it. }: You have me..:{ Lillyth crooned from the ledge outside, where she was curled up quite similarly with Menanth.
Dysali's voice was soft as she disturbed D'ren almost sleeping. "I loved your family, D'ren. They were so warm and welcoming...They did like me, didn't they?"
"Sure they did," D'ren assured her. There had been a little light teasing from his older brothers, but thankfully no one had asked any awkward questions. Dysail smiled at that comment, lost in sort of a dreamy contemplation of their future. "It will be so nice to be part of a family again, even add to it.." She said softly, almost without thinking. "Add to it?" he asked sleepily.
"When we have children, your family will grow." It just slipped right out. If she'd been paying attention, she never would have said such a thing; after all, she was a dragonrider first, before anything else. "Children?" He felt a twinge of nervousness. "Well, I suppose. Someday."
She came a little more awake and leaned up to look at him. "Do you want children, D'ren?" They were both quite young for it right now, although Dysali suspected if she hadn't lived at Dolphinhall and been Searched, someone might be trying to marry her off by now. "When I'm much, much older." He smiled to take any harshness from his words.
Dysali was quiet for a moment, watching the face that had become so precious to her. "Older? What if we don't .. make it to older?" Her eyes were wide with the reality of being a dragonrider, although only one was in a fighting wing right now. D'ren took her hands and held them. "We'll be fine. I know Threadfall is dangerous, but we've been well trained. We don't need to rush to start a family because we're afraid we won't have time." And they were so _young_.
They were young, too young really. "I don't mean tomorrow.." She smiled lightly, though her eyes remained troubled. By _something_. "We can practice, though, can't we?" "Sure we can." He pulled her closer for a kiss. As long as it was _just_
practice.
Dysali let herself forget her worries with the simple wonder of D'ren's kiss.
She'd been kissed by a couple of other me .. B'ram, I'lan.. but neither of their kisses did what D'ren's did to her. Caught up in her real, deep feelings for the young man with her, passion that burned like Flight lust swept over her, although clearly not to that degree. It was love-lust, and she lost herself in that exquisite feeling, surprising D'ren with the intensity of her response.
