Location: River Bluff Weyr

Shayla planted her hands on her hips as she surveyed T'voal's new weyr, which was scattered with overstuffed boxes, and a slow smile spread across her lips. His back was to her, so he didn't seem to notice her slip inside.

"I think you'll need help unpacking all of those," she murmured in his ear as came up from behind him, wrapping her arms loosely about his waist.

T'voal laughed and tugged Shayla around so he could tuck her against his side. "Shayla, if you think you're going to be anything but a distraction, you obviously haven't looked in a mirror lately."

She grinned up into his face. "Am I looking older?"

"No, just more pretty." Leaning down he gave her a brief kiss. "Plus the temptation to do that is nearly overwhelming... how am I supposed to unpack when you're standing here looking all kissable?"

"Well..." She pretended to ponder the question. "We can always...kiss...first, and then unpack later?"

The couch was only a few paces away, so T'voal swung them both onto it, bringing Shayla into his lap and tangling his fingers in her hair. "I take it you like the kissing?"

She stared down at him, then brushed the tip of her nose against his. "Very much. Don't you?"

"Oh, yes..." His voice was low and pleased, and he tilted her head just enough to catch her lips in a long kiss, deepening it slowly as his fingers stroked down the back of her neck and over her shoulders.

Shayla felt a shiver run up her spine as he kissed her, and her hands moved down to his waist, her fingers tightening there. **_Shells_...**
When they finally came up to breathe, she shifted in his lap, and a sudden, embarrassed blush rose in her cheeks as she did so. To hide it, she buried her head in the curve of his neck and shoulder and began to lightly kiss the skin there.

T'voal didn't bother to try to hide his moan, letting his fingers slide back over her shoulders and arms until he reached her hands, which he guided to the ties on his tunic. "Don't hide that blush from me, Shayla...
you're beautiful even when your cheeks are pink."

The color in her cheeks deepened at that remark, but she was more than willing to untie the lacings for him. Once they were unlaced, she slid her hands down, then moved them beneath the hem before slowly moving them back up, bringing his tunic with them. The backs of her fingers gently brushed against his skin as she pulled the shirt up and over his head.

For a moment he sat and watched her, watched her face and her eyes as she looked at him. His let his hands rest on her hips and smiled as he waited for her to take the next step. The fact that she _did_ still blush, the fact that she sometimes moved hesitantly and shyly, it was a reminder to him that he had to let things move at _her_ pace... If there was one thing T'voal wanted, it was Shayla's continued affection.

She hesitated, gazing at him. Well, why shouldn't she? She thought she might be ready. Not to go the _whole_ way, of course...but she was ready for a little something more. Shayla glanced down and took his hands in hers and moved them until they reached the ties of her blouse. Then her brown eyes flickered to his.

He hesitated, fighting a brief battle with temptation, and then moved his hands carefully away. "You look nervous, darling. I don't want to do anything that you feel nervous about."

"I'm going to be nervous no matter what, T'voal," she replied quietly. "Whether it's now or four months from now...I'm still going to be nervous." She gave him a small smile. "You've got a blushing virgin on your hands...and this is how she is."

Smiling, T'voal reached up a hand to brush at the side of her cheek. "I like you just the way you are... but there are different kinds of nervous.
I don't want you to go too fast and then regret something. Anything you do, Shayla..." His grin turned mischevious. "Well, I want to make sure you want to do it again. A lot."

Shayla blushed. "From what I've heard, what I want you to do is something that's...mmm...that feels...nice." She bit her lower lip and glanced down. The girls hadn't exactly described it in those words, but she couldn't bring herself to say what they'd _actually_ said.

He chuckled and drew her down for another kiss. "Take your time, Shayla...
after all, we don't have to wait for stolen moments anymore. I'm here at River Bluff, and my free time is yours."

"I'm glad you transferred," she told him quietly after she had kissed him again.

"So am I..." His fingers slid slowly down before inching up underneath her tunic, caressing the skin of her back gently. "Though U'val says I have to share you with him... he's annnoyed that we haven't come to dinner since I transferred. I suppose we should be nice and go see him again."

She grinned, pressing her forehead gently to his, enjoying the feel of his caressing fingers. "I suppose we should. We owe it to him, you know. Especially since he's been waiting so patiently!"

For a moment T'voal considered letting his hands drift higher up, but instead he slid them back down to her hips and kissed her nose gently. He might not be experienced with inexperienced women, but he knew one thing... nothing cured nervousness like impatient frustration. "Now that we've had a few kisses, I think I might need to at least unpack _one_
box."
