Description: Karri's Elliath rises for her first flight!
Location: Dragonsfall Weyr
Date: month 1, day 14 of Turn 4
Karri's day had not gone as she had planned it. She had been supposed to meet Teseada for breakfast before day's drills but everything that could have gone wrong that morning, had. First she'd knocked over a pitcher of water all over her table, then while cleaning it up she'd knocked ink all over her shoes. If that' hadn't been enough, when she's jumped back as the ink hit, she'd jumped into the water on the floor and slipped on it! She'd bit back a scream of frustration as she sat on the wet floor and finally picked her self up and shucked off her wet and stained clothes, hoping that her concentration would improve after some stimulating klah. Clean and dry clothes on, Karri mentally checked on Elliath who had flown up to the plateau to sun as soon as the first rays had hit the flat top. What she felt from her green dragon was _anything_ but sleepy slumber, and the intensity almost knocked her back onto the floor. Her chest tightened and the briefest hint of fear entered her until she forced herself to calm down. She knew what she had to do; she'd taken the classes, and U'kaiah had taught her how to use her body. Giving Elliath as much encouragement as she could muster, Karri headed out the door, definitely _not_ in the direction of Teseada and breakfast!
}:Your student's green rises,:{ Kalamath broke into U'kaiah's thoughts as he sipped down a bit more klah.
**Which student?** U'kaiah asked, knowing all too well he was going to have to hurry if he was to finish his pastry before Kalamath took off after her.
}:She is Elliath's:{ The bronze practically purred the name. }:The one you taught how to make you feel good. I want her to make me feel good too!:{ Karri. It had to be Karri. Or Fulia. Or... Oh well, it didn't matter. He'd know when he got there. **Coming!** he called as he stuffed half the pastry in his mouth and washed it down with klah.
Kazikstath was much less forthcoming with V'kelo. }:I chase!:{ he announced, interrupting his rider's bath.
**I haven't even shaved yet,** V'kelo protested, climbing from the tub and snatching a towel to wrap around his waist. }:I do not care!:{ "Well, whoever ends up waking up to my beard might," V'kelo grumbled, but he pulled on his pants quickly enough. He'd been feeling out of sorts lately, and a good flight might fix that. Won _or_ lost.
A sleepy N'vanik was sipping klah when he felt his dragon's lust. }:Elliath rises!:{ "And you want to chase?" It was more statement than question. }:_Yes!_:{ Loseth roared.
"Alright, I'm coming." **At least it'll wake me up.**
His curls a tangled mess, N'klar woke to a roar from his blue. }: Hurry!! Its her, the one you made friends with! Her dragon is rising!:{ Julerith crowed with happiness as he felt the lust of the young green. It was her first time! Arching his neck, he leaped from the ledge just heartbeats after N'klar scrambled on his back. Friends? N'klar was friends with so many of the young ones... Well, either way, he would enjoy her...
**Catch her beloved!** He encouraged Julerith as he tumbled to the ground beside the growing crowd. Karri's head was so full of emotions she thought she would explode. She was hot, so hot, and her skin crawled with sensations she couldn't articulate in her mind. She looked around at the group forming and she gave nervous smiles to N'klar and U'kaiah as she saw them step besides her. The others she didn't know, but at least she had friends with her. Her head snapped up as Elliath leaped into the sky, her mind linking with her dragons', and the ground falling away as she flew into the clouds. V'kelo arrived late and shirtless, still scratching at the side of his face where the few days of stubble were starting to itch. The girl looked young but pretty enough, and he smiled as he edged into the group. Yes, this could be a nice start to the morning...
Sleep was the farthest thing from his mind as N'vanik watched Loseth vault skyward. **Catch her!** He thought, giving the bronze all the encouragement he could.
Elliath stretched her wings, reveling in the speed. She zig zagged through the air as she challenged her chasers to prove themselves worthy of her. This was her first time, and she would only choose the best!
Kalamath did not lose a beat as he called out to her. }:You are beautiful, and I am strong. We would fly well. Come to me...:{ Kazikstath had the stamina a blue couldn't match but more maneuverability than those large, awkward bronzes... he knew that _he_
was going to win. He called out to Elliath as he rose swiftly after her, enjoying the thrill of the chase almost as much as he would catching her.
Julerith was right on Kazikstath's wing. He knew this lovely would tire herself out before _he_ did, and he would be waiting to show her the very best on her first flight. He dropped a little, aiming to come up underneath the green in front of them. On the ground, N'klar encouraged his lifemate. Julerith caught lots of greens and young ones hadn't yet learned too many tricks the blue didn't know. They would _win_. He moved closer to Karri in anticipation of that victory.
Loseth had no trouble keeping up with the pack, holding back a reserve of energy in case he needed it. Young greens often did not have long flights or use many tricks, but there could always be surprises.
The young green heard the bronze's words and thought that yes, they would fly well. And then she saw the blue coming up beneath her and couldn't help but notice how agile he was flying through the pack. He would fly her well too...
Julerith bugled his intentions to the lovely green. He promised to fly her very well indeed. But it was a bronze that took advantage of her momentary hesitation. Kalamath bugled his triumph and spread his wings wide to catch their fall as his neck and tail intertwined with hers.
