Location: River Bluff Weyr
Date: month 7, day 14 of Turn 3

"Come here and give me a hug, you darling girl..." U'val held his arms wide, pleased that Gaiya had agreed to come by to visit him that evening. "Do I have a story to tell you..."

"A story for me, huh?" She threw her arms around the man and sat lightly in his lap. "All right, uncle U'val, tell me a story."

U'val laughed and kissed her forehead fondly before dumping her onto the couch next to him with little ceremony. "Don't do that again, young lady. I feel old enough without you making things worse! And it's _certainly_ not the kind of story I'd tell any niece of mine!" He winked at her. "Are you sure you're old enough to hear it?"

"I think you might feel even older if I told you just how old I am now,"
she said as she crossed her arms across her chest, trying to look annoyed but failing miserably. "Tell me your story, _old man_."

U'val grinned. "Well, it starts with a somewhat tipsy Weyrhealer..." Gaiya was instantly intrigued. "Realllly... This certainly doesn't sound like a story I'll be repeating to the fosterlings."

"I should certainly hope not," U'val retorted. "Apparently R'han and Abrei had a fight... as they seem to from time to time. But this one was impressive enough that Abrei showed up with half of her closet in her arms... or in poor L'keri's arms, as the case may be. Somehow he crossed her path and got pressured into it." "Oh no! Poor Abrei!" Not to mention poor L'keri for finding her after such a fight! "Mmmm." It was obvious from his expression that U'val could tell what she was thinking. "So then Abrei proceeds to get so incredibly drunk that even I had a hard time making sense of anything she said. My favorite part was the bit where she proved to R'han that she didn't need him by throwing all of her clothing in my bathing pool." Gaiya laughed until her sides hurt trying to picture the stern Weyrhealer in such an undignified state. "Abrei? Drunk and disorderly?
Why didn't you invite me over _then_?" "Because she was already starting to strip," U'val replied with a wide grin. "And say things about R'han that I may not be able to sleep well at night knowing. I thought I was kind to spare you that." "Oh, don't hold back on _my_ account!"

U'val snorted. "No, I won't repeat it. Consider _my_ ego for a moment...
if that man can do half of the things Abrei was rambling on about, I am seriously jealous. No wonder I'm the only old man in the weyr who isn't attracting pretty young girls... I'm obviously out of practice." "I have heard he is quite... spry," Gaiya chuckled. "And I think the only reason R'han has been able to attract any young girls is because he has an ego as big as his bronze and doesn't know better," she said soothingly. She didn't want to tell U'val that R'han's reputation was even bigger... Besides, he probably already knew as much.

Rolling his eyes, the bluerider shook his head. "Well, in any case, Abrei was quite willing to tell me everything they get up to in the evenings in remarkable detail and at some volume, because of course, all drunk people feel the need to speak very loudly. I decided my ego couldn't take the beating and I fled." "And were you able to find someone to nurse your bruised ego?" Gaiya asked sympathetically.

"No," he said, pouting at her. "I went straight to R'han, but he just didn't seem interested in giving me a demonstration of his much touted skills. It's a pity... it would have been fun _and_ educational. So instead I told him to stop being a stubborn ass and to go retrieve his drunken woman from my weyr before she did something truly shocking." "And did she go without a fight?" Gaiya asked with gleeful interest.
Hearing the truth of it from U'val was certainly more fun then the rumors she might hear later around the Weyr.

U'val tilted his head to the side as if considering. "I suppose that depends on what you consider a fight. Luckily I wasn't around to witness it... mostly because Lyolth was kind enough to warn me that there was some highly illicit behavior going on in my weyr." "May I suggest a severe scrubbing from some anal drudges?" The young woman giggled as she thought of just all the surfaces a man with R'han's imagination could make use of.

"Oh, believe me. They were shining and polishing and fishing my _dear_
nieces clothing out of my bathing pool bright and early in the morning."
U'val shook his head. "I don't even want to _think_ about what they were doing... or where." "Oh, but I bet you do," she said waggling an accusing finger at him. "I bet there isn't a spot that you don't wonder if Abrei's naked body had been sprawled across. I mean, where we're sitting is an obvious spot, I have to say..."

U'val shuddered dramatically. "Thank you, young lady. That was exactly the visual image I needed." "Oh I do love to see you squirm." Gaiya sank back into the cushions with a content sigh. "So now all we need is an equally amusing tale in our own love lives!"

"I'm afraid that mine isn't quite _that_ exciting," U'val replied dryly.
"I suppose I could see if anyone wants to frolic with me in R'han's weyr... but somehow I doubt he'd be as disturbed by it. Abrei would certainly react though." "Now if you can manage _that_ one you _have_ to call me. I would love to see the look on Abrei's face!"

U'val waggled his eyebrows at her in an overly lascivious fashion. "You sure you don't want to come frolic with me? Though that might be too much excitement for me _and_ Abrei." "Tempting, U'val, but I'm too afraid of Abrei trying to kill me for breaking her uncle," Gaiya said with a gentle pat to his shoulder. "He might be able to keep up with Abrei, but I doubt even _R'han_ could keep up with _me_."
