Location: Amber Hills Hold

"How is my favourite healer today?" Zelanka asked warmly when she entered the infirmary.
"Just fine, Headwoman," the journeyman grinned. "I heard you were coming down to see me. Is it just for my charming smile or there something I can do for you?"
"Well, I need more of that tea of yours, that you gave me last time. For my hot and cold waves," Zelanka explained. She had hard time accepting that she was aging, her biological clock was slowing down.
"Oh, well, that should be fairly easy," Chupsim nodded. "If only all my patients were that way."
Zelanka smiled. "Do you have lot of patients right now? I'm under impression that those who were injured at the earthquake have already recovered?" she asked.
"For the most part," the healer nodded. "But my client list has grown." "Oh, yes, it has," Zelanka sighed. "Do you have everything you need: supplies, staff?" she asked.
"We're running low on a few herbs," Chupsin admitted. "The Amethyst Cliff healer and I are hoping that some can be salvaged from their herb bed. I should ask the Steward if they have reached the supply caves yet. I hear the salvage efforts are going slowly." The rescue efforts had long since ended. Now it was just a need to collect bodies and useable materials.
"Everybody is running low on pretty much everything here," Zelanka sighed. "We weren't prepared for such a sudden increase in our population. Send me a list of what you need and I see what I can find," Headwoman said.
"Thank you, Headwoman. I shall." The Healer reached for her file which was already perched on the edge of his desk. "All right, now let's update your information while I still have you here."
"What there's to update?" Zelanka asked kindly.
"Well, that's the question, isn't it," the journeyman shrugged. He was known for his thoroughness and it had always served him in the past.
"Are you still experiencing hot flashes?"
"Time to time, mostly when I'm under lot of stress," Zelanka replied. "And night sweats?" Chupsin asked, making a quick note.
"The same as last time," the headwoman replied.
The healer nodded and made another note. "Any dryness? Itchiness? Discomfort during sexual intercourse?"
"Can't say 'cause I haven't got any sex for ages," Zelanka said with dry tone.
**Still?!** "I'll just mark that as a no, then." The things you learned about people as Healer... "Have you been eating plenty of calcium rich foods? Milk? Cheese? That sort of thing?" "Milk gives me gas, so I avoid it. But I do eat cheese," Zelanka replied patiently.
"How about yogurt? Can you eat that?" Chupsin suggested. "As you grow older, the strength of your bones grows more and more important."
"Yes, I can eat that," Zelanka replied.
"The more calcium the better," the Healer smiled. "And of course the tea will also be helpful. If you hold on a moment, I think that's all the questions I have. I'll just go get that for you."
"Thank you, Chupsin. You're always so thorough," Zelanka said. Annoyingly so, but she didn't let it bother her.
"Thank you, Zelanka. I like to think I do my job well." And he had no doubt he did. "Let me just grab those herbs for you and I'll be right back."
"Good, and I can go back to my work. No doubt the drudges are using my absence to laze around and gossip."
"I doubt that. You have them well trained," the Healer smiled reassuringly as he walked towards the door. "Would you rather I send someone down with you tea than have you wait here?"
"Depends how long it takes?" Zelanka asked.
Chupsin shrugged slightly. "Not long at all. You're not the only women in the Hold drinking this tea."
"Probably not, since it's something that comes with this age. I'll wait then."
"Fine. Make yourself comfortable. I'll be right back."
