Kamira fluffed her short hair and twirled once in front of a mirror
to check her outfit. She and Az'uka had agreed to spend the latter
part of the restday together and, she hoped, continue what it was
they had started in the hallway.
** Tayanth? Will you bespeak Nilzuth and ask if his rider is ready
yet?** She was already quite pleased with herself and a little
impatient to see her new friend again - even if they didn't pick up
where they left off.
Nilzuth turned his head and looking over his shoulder into the weyr
he spoke}: Tayanth and Kamira want to know if you're ready :{
His rider looked up and gave his dragon one of those looks that said
**Do I _look ready_**
}: Now I'm sure the females of your species don't bite :{ The blue
dragon offered by way comfort, which was rewarded by another sharp
look from his rider.
**Yeah, that helps** He muttered, shame that sarcasm was lost on
dragons. He paused briefly at the mirror the way out, half surprised
that he'd organized his hair to some to degree. **Best not keep the
ladies waiting**
~~
Kamira grinned as soon as the older bluerider came into view. Just
what _would_ they do with themselves? She decided to let him decide.
"Too bad I'm not going to run into you this time..."
A smile crossed his face as he saw Kamira, her slender frame and
exotic colouring made him smile even more. It would seem that they
had plenty of time to get to wherever it was that they planed to end
up. He stood in the threshold of her weyr and gave a small chuckle at
her comment about running into him.
"Now, why mess with success?" He questioned.
"Indeed." Her eyes sparkled as he came closer - it looked like he
wasn't going to waste much time. "But last time I had to rush off,
that's hardly success."
He leaned in a little closer and kissed her, softly. She was still
the same gorgeous woman he'd nearly flattened in the corridor only a
few days ago. "That's debatable" Az'uka said referring to an old
saying that said absence makes the heart grow fonder.
Kamira had to stand on her tip-toes to return the long, strong kiss,
but it was worth every moment of it. "Would you... like to come in or
do you feel like going out?"
"Hmm, ladies choice" He said with a cheeky grin, and tucked a tiny
wisp of loose hair behind her ear. Knowing that it was highly likely
the two would end up inside again at one point of the evening, _maybe_.
She thought a moment. "Well, given that neither one of us is that
great with hallways, maybe we should stick with the indoors. Would
you like to come in?" If he didn't say yes, he was so handsome she
might just drag him in anyway.
}: She doesn't know the half of _it_! You ran into the _floor!_ :{
Nilzuth reminded his rider with a jest and Az'uka's face was nearly
swamped with embarrassment.
Ignoring his dragon he stepped, over the threshold of Kamira's weyr,
_just_ teasing her a little as it where. "Ah, so our hope is that we
are greater indoors then?"
Kamira shrugged a shoulder. "If not greater then at least more
protected - no sharp corners. It's safe to assume we're fairly safe.
But, then again, you never know with people of our particular talents."
"Now, now ..." He lectured her jokingly, and then gave her a soft
kiss on the cheek "Which talents would we be talking about?"
}: Clearly not your inability to walk :{
**Can't you find someone else to annoy for a while** Az'uka pleaded
}: Tayanth and I are happy :{
**Good, good** He replied knowing that meant the dragon would stop
taunting him, for at lest a little while.
"Why, Az'uka!" Kamira gasped a little and backed away slightly. "I
think you're using your imagination just a little here! I was talking
about balance, of course!"
The bluerider raised a confused eyebrow at her. "Hm" Ok it was the
most immature answer he'd come up with in a while, but at the same
time he could almost hear his dragon about to fall of the ledge in
hysterics. **Did you?!**
Kamira was a little thrown off by his reaction, but she didn't
comment. "You're having a rather interesting conversation with
Nilzuth, aren't you?"
Az'uka racked one hand back through his hair, which cause it to
almost become unorganized again. "Not exactly..." He said with a sigh
"He's just..." **annoying the _sharding_ hell out of me** "... being
Nilzuth" He finished the broken statement in a question like manner,
as if that would some how make it better, but that wasn't likely.
}: Perhaps I should, Tayanth knows :{ The dragon informed his rider
smugly, letting the threat sink in.
"Well you should know that both Tayanth and I are highly suspicious
and moderately concerned..." She narrowed her eyes a little and tried
not to laugh at how uncomfortable he seemed to be all of a sudden.
This time as Az'uka racked his hair back it fell into its usual messy
state, with a stray strand falling across is face and he half tucked,
half stuffed it back behind his ear, in order for it to look somewhat
ordered. Had he had a short fuse this evening he would have thrown
his hands in the air and cried out, what is it pick on a Az'uka day,
and then would have paced back and forth. However considering he'd
hurt his hip two days ago and seen a healer about it this morning,
there wasn't much pacing he could do without that very faint limp of
his. He moved half way across the space, the limp noticeable, if you
where looking. He paused. "Concerned? What has he been telling you?"
Az'uka asked as if to try and cover it all up again.
}: Please, just get over yourself and tell her : { Nilzuth told his rider
The rider's cheeks flushed a little with embarrassment as she let out
a sigh. "I'm guessing Nilzuth told you about this morning..."
Kamira looked at him curiously. "Told me what?"
**I thought you said she knew**
}: I told you that _Tayanth_ knew, or has your inability to walk
affected your ability to listen?:{ Nilzuth question his rider.
Az'uka looked at Kamira and decided just to let it out. "Nilzuth has
been picking on me for the last couple of minutes over events that
sort of ended this morning." He informed the now somewhat confused
greenrider. "Turns out a couple of days ago I took from running into
people to tripping over and bruising my hip"
}: Badly, by the way I understand it:{ The dragon commented.
"Then you _are_ particularly talented with the whole... running into
things deal!" Kamira gasped. "Are you all right?"
**I hate you** Az'uka informed his lifemate as he thought he heard is
dragon start laughing again
}: No you don't, besides, don't you feel better that you've told her,
you can hardly start a good relationship with someone if you keep
things from them. :{ The blue reasoned, leaving his rider to is own
defences again.
The bluerider looked at her again and nodded "I'm fine, I'm feeling
down right embarrassed on account of the big blue thing out there
though" He said, some of his good humour coming back, it would seem
that he'd be living down the incident with his hip longer than he
thought he would.
"Should I take a look and see what I can do to make you feel better?"
Az'uka raised an eyebrow at the questioning greenrider, how was it
possible, his dragon managed to mess things up then everything just
feel back into place. **how do you do that?** this time the rider got
no answer, perhaps Nilzuth decided he done enough, for now. a small
smiled crossed is face as she relaxed again "Its just a deep bruise"
he told Kamira.
"Well that's a relief. You're not feeling pain or anything when you move?"
Honesty is a virtue, or so Nilzuth had just demonstrated, or at lest
that's what he through it was. "No, if anything is just and ache now
and then" He told her, after all the salve he'd been give this
morning was proving very effective.
"Good to know." She said smiled in a very casual way. She wasn't
going to be the only one putting the signs out there. If he wanted
something, he could say so.
He moved over and gently touched her shoulder. "Now I believe that
last time we where discussing bruises it was the ones I might have
given you" He looked her in the eyes.
She smiled. "I don't think I have any from you." She moved a little
closer. "You could always give me some..."
He wrapped one arm around her and brought her closer, leaning in and
kissing her again. A soft gentle kiss on her lips.
Kamira returned the kiss with great satisfaction. The height
difference between the two was a little deterring, but neither one of
them seemed to mind.
_Give her bruises?!_ the idea was ludicrous and not something he
wanted to do, as for other possibilities well, they where open for
consideration. He looked down at her exotic form as she finished the
kiss, his eyes danced with happiness. He jokingly thought he could
tell her to grow up a little, but didn't instead savouring the moment.
