Description: Shortly after their first trip /between/, Isaline decides to work her childhood crush on R'alt out of her system, one way or another.
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 13, day 17 of Turn 3
"R'alt?" Isaline ventured a few steps into R'alt's weyr, the novelty of
being able to arrive by landing on the ledge still shiny and new. Shards,
she _loved_ being mobile! And now that they'd gone /between/ for the first
time, she could go anywhere she wanted. Well, maybe she needed permission
for now... but soon...
"R'alt?" she called a second time. "Are there any naked women in your weyr,
or can I come in?"
Laughing, he came out of the sleeping room, dressed in nothing but his pants
and running a towel through his hair. "No naked women yet, Isie.
Come on in! I just got back from a bath."
"Well, _that's_ obvious," she replied, her voice sounding a little faint.
Even though she'd spent a lovely evening reacquainting herself with all the
things she'd been missing since Impression, the sight of R'alt half naked
brought her childhood crush roaring back to life, and a not-so-little stab
of lust along with it. Shards, he looked nice.
Chuckling, he threw the towel over a chair and motioned for her to follow
him. "Apparently there's a party a couple floors down tonight. I thought
maybe I'd be appreciated more if I wasn't so sweaty and grungy. Hey, are
you going? Should be plenty of men there for you to work your magic on.
And more than enough women for me!"
"Oh?" Isaline followed him, her eyes still drifting over his shoulders and
down his back. She'd seen him without clothing plenty of times, but never
when it had been just the two of them. And _never_ when they'd been
somewhere where it was unlikely they'd be interrupted. Shards, she was
pathetic.
"Yeah. I think some bluerider's hosting it." A slight frown crossed his
face as he ran his hand through his hair. "Or maybe it's a greenrider.
Don't remember." Shrugging it away as unimportant, he turned to look at
her, his grin easing back into a smile. "So, are you coming?"
"Uh-huh." Maybe she should just shove him up against the wall and prove to
herself that he wasn't worth the turns she'd spent waiting for him to notice
her. After all, it wasn't like she didn't have a perfectly handsome young
bronzerider who made her feel _noticed_. R'alt couldn't be _that_ good...
He sighed, folding his arms loosely across his chest. "All right, Isie.
Come out with it. What's on your mind, hmm? You're never this quiet."
R'alt was close enough that she could reach out and touch him, letting her
fingers trail lightly along his collarbone before sliding down his chest.
Oh, he felt nice. The words came out before she could stop them. "I think I
want to jump you."
He stared at her, admittedly shocked by her touch--and by what she'd said.
His first impulse was to laugh, but he firmly stomped down on the urge.
Isie would certainly take it the wrong way, and this wasn't the time for
teasing...
Slowly he uncrossed his arms, studying her face. She was serious.
Completely serious. And, as her fingers continued to curiously touch him,
he found that the seriousness of the situation was catching on. "So why
don't you?" he asked quietly, brushing his fingers against her arm, then
letting them drift to her cheek, more aware of her now than he ever had been
before.
"Oh." It wasn't exactly the response that she'd been expecting, but it was
too late to take it back and pretend she hadn't said it. So she did the next
best thing, tripping him backwards onto his couch and landing conveniently
on top of him. "Well, if you're sure you don't mind..."
"Mind?" He grinned at her, feeling his pulse start to race as he felt all
her delicious curves molding against him. "Darling, why would you think I'd
mind?" His hands slipped to her hips as he began to kiss her.
Words failed her for a few long moments as she returned his kiss. Then her
brain caught up with the rest of her and she pulled back to glare down at
him. "What do you mean, why? You've spent the last four turns ignoring that
I'm a girl!"
He frowned up at her. "I've known you're a girl, Isaline."
She made a frustrated noise and crossed her arms over her chest. "Well you
never treated me like one!"
R'alt blinked at her. "Did you _want_ me to treat you like one?" One hand
slipped from her hip to pillow the back of his head, and he looked curiously
up at her. "Shards, Isie, I've known you for how long now?
Half the time you _hated_ the thought of me treating you different 'cause
you were of the more feminine gender."
This was not going the way she'd expected. In fact, they were back to their
usual bickering, with the only exception being the fact that he was
shirtless and she was sprawled out on top of him. Which had been more
interesting a few moments ago. "You are a sharding pain, R'alt. You can't
even have sex without disagreeing with me!"
A slow grin crossed his face as he reached up to stroke her cheek again.
"Then let's both just shut up and have sex. We'll save the bickering for
later, okay?"
Isaline glared at him. "You kind of ruined the moment, R'alt."
"Then we'll find it again." He gave her a smile that used to win half of
her cookie added to his own when they were just kids. "Come on, Isie..."
Gently he rubbed the back of her neck. "Don't be mad."
Her eyes drifted partly shut as his fingers caressed her neck. "Sometimes I
just really want to smack you," she muttered, wishing his chest didn't feel
so nice under her hands.
"Then smack me while we're in the throes of our lovemaking," he chuckled.
"You'll get away with it then, trust me." Then R'alt brought her head down
so he could kiss her again, fingers loosening the ties to her shirt.
Kissing Isaline was...different than kissing the other girls. And he
liked it.
The warm curiosity she felt burned away into something a little more
familiar when his hands found their way under her shirt. She may not know
how to deal with R'alt, but she _knew_ how to respond to the feelings he was
causing, knew what to do in return. And even though she didn't have quite
his level of experience, she had the advantage of knowing _him_.
