Roxarith tilted his head back, studied the sky once more, and then shook himself. }:Yes. Today is a fine day for flying.:{ the bronze affirmed. }:Mine?:{

“Let me check your straps again, and… yes.” T'thalin responded, and started to do so. He _liked_ flying with Roxarith.

Roxarith bugled, and spread his glorious wings. }:Come and fly with us!!:{ he called to his clutchmates in view.

}:You look very powerful today, Roxarith.:{ As always, Aurelth’s voice wrapped itself around Roxarith’s mind like a feline slinking through the jungle. }:I will join you.:{

S’ros jogged up to double-check T’thalin’s straps, but by now, it was just a failsafe. But better failsafe than failsorry, as he always said.

}:I don’t believe you’ve ever said that in your life,:{ said Iskandreth.

**What are you talking about, I made that same joke, like, yesterday,** S’ros protested.

}:Allegedly.:{

“Looks good, looks good! How about you, Aurelth? L’leb? Everything snug and secure?”

“I think we’re doing all right,” said L’leb.

}:I am always powerful. And excellent.:{ Roxarith asserted, and spread shining pale wings. }:Mine?:{

“... Around the Lake?” T'thalin suggested, and glanced at L'leb. “... We can circle it.”

L’leb smiled and nodded-- encouragingly, he hoped.

}:I should like to stretch my wings, as well,:{ Isarvyth spoke up, rolling his shoulders beneath the straps to make sure they still felt okay. E’shren insisted on making sure they weren’t chafing, as he was still growing, so the motion was more for his rider’s benefit than his own -- just a little reassurance. }:I’m not interrupting, am I?:{

“You said he invited you,” E’shren pointed out, hoisting himself up onto the brown’s back and strapping in. “Hi guys, around the lake sounds good to me, too! It’s a good day for it. Just warm enough that having the wind on our faces will be nice!”

He still couldn’t quite get over the _freedom_ of it. Even though they were still only weyrlings with so much left to learn and only a handful of flights under their belts (relatively-speaking), just knowing this was something they could do made him feel like he’d never been so lucky in his life.

Tiareth watched the male dragons with haughty primness. }: Barely able to turn, look at that, :{ she scoffed. She swiveled her head towards her rider. }: We shall show them what beauty in flight is. :{ Felorin checked the perfectly made straps one more time, not waiting for S’ros to double-check her, and then mounted her darling green.

As though sprung from the Ballads themselves, Tiareth took off with a grace and nimbleness that was breathtaking. And she knew it. Sunlight glittered off her perfectly oiled hide as she made one circle, then a second around the lake, reveling in the admiration. She landed with almost perfect precision, letting out a small sound of internal correction as she said, }: I will do better next time. :{

}:The next time is now, if you are still ready!:{ Roxarith told Tiareth with utter certainty, waited until his rider was on his back and secured before he took wing with a leap upward.

The sunlight shone off his own glorious hide, nearly golden in the right light, a pale gleaming bronze. }:Come, Aurelth! Come, Isarvyth! We fly!:{

}: Wait for me! :{ Helanth cried as he took off -- without his rider -- after Roxarith.

Laughing, D’ltero cupped his hands around his mouth and cried after him, “Wait for me!”

}: Oh, right, right, right! Forgot! Coming back! :{ Helanth spun nimbly and landed with a thump next to his rider. }: Round two! :{ he declared once D’ltero was aboard, taking off quickly.

}:Perfect, as always,:{ said Aurelth.

}:Now that we’re all together…:{ Isarvyth said, amusement evident in his voice, as he took off.
