A second blue dragon landed neatly on a rock overlooking the feeding pens-- and more importantly Feyonth. Calcifeth crooned his encouragement and admiration at her, his talons scraping against the rock as he tensed his wings to follow her skyward. His rider, meanwhile, sighed and set aside his manuscript, although his irritation at being interrupted was purely for show. Not that there was anyone in his weyr with him. He wiped his ink-stained fingers on a rag before hurrying toward the flight cots. **Catch her,** he urged Calcifeth. **I could use a tumble, my love.**

}:Feyonth glows beautifully. I want her!:{ Sebeth glided over to take a perch near the feeding pens, watching the green.

K'mai was on his way to a party when the lust hit him. He turned abruptly and jogged toward the nearest exit. When he reached the group of riders near the feeding pens, he realized he was still clutching a wineskin. He laughed a little at that and then looked up to find he was standing next to H'run. He smiled at the other man even as Sebeth's attention pulled him toward Feyonth.

**...or maybe don't catch her,** H'run said to his dragon as he smiled back at K'mai. Sometimes there were perks to losing...

L'kav surveyed the chasers with feral intent. The dragons first, the clustering men. A harsh ripple of delight shot through their link, their bodies, at the sight of so many fine chasers, and as Feyonth shot up into the skies to get as far as possible, L'kav found himself drifting a little closer to them. Blood was in the air, on his tongue, still hot in the tightness of his throat - she was there even as she roared high above, and he was up there as much as he was here, breathing hard as every inch burned and rose to a shivering fever pitch.

Rapidly gaining altitude, Feyonth headed toward the mountains. She knew exactly what she was doing and glanced back only to call-- to taunt, letting the freedom of the sky have her wings. }: Well, come on then. Surely you're more than just pretty faces, aren't you? :{

She struck an updraft, surging vertically along a cliff face toward its peak. This flight was about passion, and heart, and she wouldn't give in until they'd shown theirs.

Imalkyth threw himself into the air as she passed and his hard muscle put him right behind her at first. But she was fast and he knew he could outlast her but could he catch her before one of the blues?

At the last possible moment, Arinoth dumped K'yne off in the Weyrbowl, where his rider had to rip off his riding straps, so that the brown could launch himself into the skies after the lovely Feyonth.

Pesrath was, as usual, completely serious in his pursuit of the green. She'd allowed him to sit on her ledge once when his rider was 'visiting' hers. Perhaps, he thought, this might garner him the slightest measure of favor - but he wasn't counting on it. He was counting on his quickness instead as he sped past a couple of browns.

Roquath bellowed in agitation as a blue sped past him. He saw where Feyonth was heading and took skyward, knowing full well that he wasn't agile enough to follow her turn by turn .

L'kav drifted a little too close to E'kavas and the brownrider stepped back, raising his hands up in surrender. "I'm a gentleman until the catch, sirs." He said.

I'lon made a sound that might have said otherwise or was just expressing his opinion in some general manner, but the faraway look in his gold-ringed blue eyes meant that he was also listening to Napeth, who was attempting to outmaneuver Pesrath in that moment, so the sound remained indecipherable.

Sebeth easily outflew the browns but there were several other blues in the chase. A few were faster and had gotten between him and Feyonth. He grumbled his frustration before calling out to her. }:I am strong and agile. Let me fly you well!:{

Imalkyth rose up higher between the running green and the light of Rukbat; sometimes he would get lucky by hiding himself in the sun.

But Calcifeth stayed close to Feyonth, chasing her through the updraft and along the cliffsides, the tips of the pines nearly brushing his wings. }:You are fast,:{ he crooned, }:You are clever and quick, and so am I! Let's chase the wind together and leave these others behind!:{

Napeth did not waste his breath on flirtations. He angled his wings to catch up to Calcifeth, intending to give the other dragon unexpected pressure. Perhaps he could capitalize on a moment and get ahead. Feyonth was so very close!

A shift in cloud cover, a sudden illumination across each flickering wing of her chasers, and Feyonth never knew such heady pleasure. So many still flying with her! So high and so far beyond the others. It wasn't enough to simply get away, evade, outdo - at this point she called them to hurry with her through the wind, working her wings instinctively to gain that last little bit of altitude.
