Description: Arilanna accompanies Ayrati to the Dolphin Hall to confirm her pregnancy.

Date: month 11, day 21 of Turn 3

Arriving for her afternoon shift, Arilanna greeted Shedia with a grin.
The old healer returned the grin and waved Arilanna over. "Oh, I'm so glad you were working today, I've a favor to ask of you."

"Really?" Arilanna was dubious as Shedia's _favors_ usually involved bowels in some form or another, "What is it?"

"I've a greenrider, Ayrati, who's convinced herself she is pregnant.
Only she's not showing any signs yet, but she's insisting on going to see the dolphins to make sure. You know these old bones of mine....
It's not the visit to the Dolphin Hall that I'm fretting about, it's the cold dragonrider to and from! If I go my bones will be aching for days after. Could you take her for me?"

"Well of course," Arilanna feigned inconvenience and concern for the older woman, "I wouldn't want to you have to bother with all that."

At the woman's obvious relief, Arilanna patted her hand and went to find the patient. Arilanna counted her good luck to getting a break from the clinic and the chance to enjoy a carefree afternoon with the dolphins.

Ayrati was waiting in the examination room for the healer to return from whatever consultation she was doing with another healer. The greenrider was pretty certain she was pregnant after having been through it five times previously. The only question that truly remained was what would she do about it. She could have the baby and then go on with her life or she could go /between/ to end it here and now.

Her mind was still racing with possibilities that she didn't even hear that someone had come into the room. She glanced up at the sound of another voice and said, "I'm sorry, did you say something?"

"I was just saying hello." Arilanna explained with a smile. "I'm Arilanna, do you remember me from your last pregnancy?"

"Ah, I believe so. I think I've even heard da mention your name from time to time." she said in approval of her father's choice. Not that she knew all of the women D'wrayt slept with, but she had yet to not like those she met.

"Oh," she said a bit surprised and flattered that D'wrayt would mention her to his daughter. "Well he better of said only nice things about me!" she accused adding a wink so Ayrati would know she was joking.

Ayrati nodded and laughed softly. She really did like this one and it was nice to see that her father was happy again after such a long bout of drinking right after her mother's death.

"Now Shedia tells me that you'd like a visit with the dolphins to confirm a pregnancy?" Arilanna asked.

"I'm pretty certain that I am, but I want to see how far along the pregnancy is. I know of a dolphineer at the Dolphin Hall who will be willing to help us out." Ayrati said.

"Sounds good then, let me just go get changed into something warmer for the ride." she said looking down at her skirt and blouse. She would have to bundle up in this winter weather. "Shall I meet you up on the Plateau?"

"I will meet your there." Ayrati said in agreement as she needed to grab some things for the trip as well. She was dressed properly, but still had to put riding straps on Kaezioluth.
