Characters: Ay'ell, M'trel
Description: An interesting conversation between dragons
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 11, day 23 of Turn 10

It was a quiet day in Dolphin Cove, but one weyr was bustling. A searchrider and his teenaged daughter scurried up and down the stairs, between the weyr and the blue parked outside, loading him up with belongings. The signs of an impending transfer were clear. However, that still left a good deal of questions up in the air.

Questions that did not seem to be bothering, Ay'ell remotely. The man paused on one of his trips to pay Tseyth on the shoulder and offer the blue a fond smile. "It's a lot, huh?" he mused.

The blue rumbled in agreement.

Ay'ell laughed and gave him another pat. "Thank you for putting up with my busy-body self."

The activity did not go unnoticed, of course. Noruith was perched in a way that he could observe the Weyr and had he been a gold, it would have been considered a regal surveying. As it stood, Noruith was neither meddlesome nor pretentious, but he was informed (or at least preferred to be) and the activity going on around Tseyth's weyr seemed like one of those occasions to seek information, even though Tseyth was not in Noruith's Wing. }: Going on a journey? :{ the brown asked the blue.

}: Indeed, :{ Tseyth purred. }: A transfer. You will know the destination if you can tell me what flies and falls at the same time. :{

Noruith let out a derisive snort. A riddle so easy, a hatchling could solve it. }: Dragonsfall, :{ he answered. His scrutiny sharpened. }: But why? :{

Tseyth hummed. }: Running toward, running away. "Why", you should know, is the least important question you could have asked, for the answer will never change a thing. :{

Noruith's mind honed into a needle-thin focus on the blue. }: If all you have are riddles today, I am not enthused. :{ He waited for Tseyth to explain himself, his will gathering with earthen strength. Noruith was neither bronze nor queen but he knew how to leverage his rank into a conversation.

}: Hmm, pity. :{ Tseyth dismissed Noruith with a dismissive flick, the will of a brown not enough to force the hand of a blue with a willful personality of his own. }: Find someone else to speak to. You bore me. :{ With that, he tuned out, no longer interested in anything that the brown had to say.

Momentarily, it occurred to the brown to force the issue but Tseyth was neither his wingrider to reprimand nor within any sort of jurisdiction that Noruith patrolled. Mere curiosity did not grant him the right to information. But the whole evasiveness sat suspiciously. Noruith turned the conversation over in his mind one last time and then dismissed it. The issue, whatever it was, would soon become Dragonsfall's problem.

**You're thinking hard out there,** M'trel observed.

Noruith realigned his posture. Flexed his wings and resettled himself. Returned his focus to elsewhere. }: Just a moment of thought, :{ he replied, evading his rider as neatly as Tseyth had evaded him.

The brown tucked it into his memory to recall later but the fault with dragons was that they were always going to forget.
