Lanniya

Lanniya

---

**I know you can't hide yourself, but can you at least try to be
inconspicuous?**

}: No. The bronzes love me. :{ Anaeryth preened as she landed in the
Weyrbowl, already enjoying the adulation and attention of several
bronzes, most of them the older ones that she seemed to prefer.

**Where is Seneth? Can you see him?** She waited as Anaeryth scanned the area.

}: You could always ask him yourself. But he should be here paying
attention to _me_.:{ The gold huffed mentally. }: Oh, here he is.:{
Anaeryth preened with no small degree of smugness.

**Seneth, have you already told him we're here? Please tell me he's in
a meeting or something. I want to surprise him.**

The bronze landed beside Anaeryth and flexed his wings in greeting.
}: He is doing hidework in his office,:{ Seneth said to Lanniya. }: But
he is thinking of sleep.:{

}: My Seneth.:{ Anaeryth crooned and rubbed her chin slowly along his
neck. }:Sun with me? :{

Oh no, he didn't. He was _not_ sleeping. It was still early. **Really?
Is he now?** With a grin, she slipped through the halls of the Weyr,
remembering the location of his own with ease. She tested the door,
found it unlocked and had a difficult time not rubbing her hands
together with mischievous glee.

Faranth, he still needed a drudge to come in and pick up. She shook
her head but kept a gleeful grin on her face. She hurriedly prepared,
kicking off what was unnecessary. She had bought something just for
him, and by Faranth, he was going to appreciate it. **Seneth? Can you
be really sweet and send him this picture and ask if he feels up to
swimming?** She sent the image of herself as she looked in his own
looking glass. The dark green two-piece swimsuit was brief; had her
family or even her sister seen her in it, they most likely would have
hustled her off to get anything on other than what she wore. She loved
it. It hid what it was supposed to, but only just, and she knew full
well that it wouldn't hold up to any extended swimming.

Half way across the Weyrbowl, a certain young Wingsecond blinked as
his dragon interrupted his thoughts with an image. He put down his
quill as his lips twisted in a smile. **So that's her game.** He
thought for a moment, then got up without bothering to send a reply
through Seneth.

F'lin didn't want to say that he hurried, but he certainly did walk
faster than usual and made it to his weyr in about half the time it
usually took him. He didn't bother knocking as he strode inside and
spotted Lanniya. "You don't want to go swimming," he told her.

The innocent expression that she attempted failed miserably; her eyes
glinted with far too much mischief. Lanniya stood by his couch, one
arm draped lightly along the back as she tilted her head at him.
Dimples flashed as he came in and she took one step forward. "What?
Don't you like it?" She tilted her head and the grin that grew even
wider diminished even the slightest veil of innocence. "But you're
right. I don't. But I did want to wear something special for you."

"Thoughtful of you." He stepped toward her and gently pulled one of
the straps down her shoulder. His eyes darkened. "But you don't need
to wear anything special."

Her skin prickled under his touch as she followed his hand with her
eyes. Excitement and anticipation surged, making her heart pound in
her chest. What was it about him that did this to her? She didn't
have a name for what he stirred in her, but it was almost like the
feeling right before Anaeryth rose, that tense, hot, needy lust that
could barely be controlled. She didn't _want_ to control it; she
wanted to be consumed by it. She shivered at the thought even as her
own hands slid around his waist. "Then what should I wear?"

His other hand slid around her ribs to tug at the knot that hugged her
spine. He leaned in so that his lips brushed her ear as he spoke. "I
think nothing suits you just fine."

Her fingers flexed at his lower back to tug at his shirt as she felt
the brief top loosen, then slide to rest only on her upper arms. Her
skin prickled at his touch, bringing gooseflesh, but the the feeling
of his breath on her ear caused a shuddering breath of her own.
"Faranth, F'lin...what are you doing to me?" She tilted her head back,
the tickling sensation of her hair against her now bare back was
almost overwhelming.

"Wrong question." F'lin let his hands slide gently over her pale,
silky skin to hook the tips of his little fingers in the fabric of her
bottoms where they sat against her waist. He grazed his lips against
the curve of her jaw, just above where he could see the flutter of her
pulse. She smelled so, so good. "You should be thinking about what I
am _going_ to do to you."

Lanniya felt her insides immediately clench with a desperate need as
her mind flittered to what he could do. She shivered against his
hands, willing at that point, to do anything to find out what he _was_
going to do. His callused hands felt perfect against her skin, warm,
with just the right amount of texture to send her head spinning.
Tilting her head to the side to offer his lips more access, she
released his waist, letting her top flutter to the floor before
tangling her fingers in his hair. " You make me...shards, F'lin, you
make me ache. " She pulled him back just enough to press her lips to
his, letting him know with that one kiss how much she wanted him.

He pushed her backward, stumbling with her, until they tumbled onto
his bed. He kissed her hard and did his best to hide the slight
nervous shake of his hands as he slid his hand beneath that last scrap
of cloth to touch her fully. Ever since their conversation in the
Weyrbowl the previous week he'd been planning what he'd do to her, but
it was sharding hard to stick to a plan when she was naked and willing
beneath him. "Tell me you want this," he said, his voice husky against
her freckled skin.

She felt back against his furs, not feeling the tremble, but instead
feeling his need against her and her need own that drove her to part
willingly for his seeking hand. The soft moan that he earned from the
touch flew from her lips. "Yes. Yes, I want this. I want you, F'lin."
Her breath came in soft pants as she struggled to pull his own shirt
over his head, but wasn't able to do much more that ruck it up against
his shoulders. Her hands spread over his lean back, her nails very
lightly scraping to encourage him. "I need you."

He felt himself grin in victory as he kissed her on the mouth, then
down the side of her neck to the curve of her breast. She felt too
good, and plans to take his time flew out the window. He leaned away
from her just long enough to pull his shirt over his head and kick off
his boots and trousers before falling back on the bed beside her and
letting his hands and mouth do what they would.

The heat of his body next to hers and the feeling of his hands and
mouth on her, stroking, petting, caressing, drove her nearly mad with
wanting. Their first time had been unplanned and from what she
remembered of the encounter, just as needy. But now, he had full
access to her on his bed, unconstrained by the confines of his couch.
She gave herself up to him fully, letting go of her own restraint.

F'lin loved the sounds she made. The way she moved, the way she found
her release, and the way she clung to him as he found his own.
Afterwards, he lay next to her and gently ran his fingertips over the
curve of her hip, enjoying the softness of her skin and the feeling of
being together.

A smile of contented satisfaction lifted Lanniya's mouth as she gave a
languid stretch that reached down to her toes. Opening her eyes, she
nestled close to the man beside her and peered up at him, completely
comfortable in her nudity and position beside him. She hadn't gotten
to lay beside him before; she rather liked it. "Mmmm...you're comfy."

F'lin smiled. "Mmm. Just don't let me fall asleep and you'll be fine."

That brought a giggle. "I remember." The one time he had fallen asleep
beside her, it had been completely innocent, but he'd nearly rattled
the walls with his snoring. She let her fingers play along his chest,
taking time to explore now that she wasn't...distracted. "I like this.
You're more relaxed." She grinned up at him. " And you look a bit smug
too."

"That's just your imagination." He poked her side, but then sobered.
"Lanniya... can I ask you something?"

She smiled at the poke, then frowned as his expression changed. "Of
course you can." She tilted her head to peer at him. " What's wrong?"

"Last time we met..." F'lin hesitated, unwilling to mention another
man while Lanniya was here, with _him_. Last time they'd spoke,
Lanniya had said that she didn't lie to K'ale. Her words had been
gnawing at him ever since. "If this-- whatever this is, if it is going
to work, can you promise me something? That you'll be honest with me?"

She propped herself up on her elbow to peer at him. "Of course. I am
honest with you, F'lin. It's just that sometimes I don't know how to
talk to you. I am trying to be better about that, but sometimes you
just get frustrated and I don't know why."

"Just don't hide things from me anymore." He reached up to tuck a
strand of her hair behind her ear. "That's all."

Her brow furrowed. "I don't hide things from you, F'lin." For a
moment, she looked completely confused, then her brows rose as a but
of understanding clicked into place. "F'lin, is this about me
betweening at Riverbluff?" She lifted her hand and laid it against his
cheek. " I thought you knew why I didn't tell you before I did it."

He didn't want to talk about River Bluff. That lie - omission -
whatever it was, it was too raw. "You didn't tell me about K'ale
either." He placed a kiss in the palm of her hand in an effort to ease
the edges of their talk. "I was left hanging in the wind in both
cases. If you're going to be here, in my bed, I can't... do that
again. I need you to be honest with me."

"I'm sorry, F'lin. And I will be." Her brow knit; Riverbluff was still
a wall between them and she wanted to rip that barrier down
completely. "I couldn't tell you, F'lin. If I had, then all they
would have to do is ask Seneth. And you would have told them. You
would have gotten in so much trouble." She stroked his cheek with her
thumb. "I know how important leadership is to you and what you want
for yourself. I could've ruined that for you. Rhosyn hated me and if
she knew that you knew, she would have taken it out on you. I
couldn't do that to you. I never told anyone that you knew. I didn't
want to be the reason you had something that bad on your file."

"I just needed to hear that you'll talk to me." He rolled her over and
kissed her thoroughly to distract her. He let his hands drift a little
lower to signal his intentions. "And it's still early in the
evening... here. There's got to be a few more candlemarks before you
have to go back to Dragonsfall."

"I will, I..." her promise was stopped by his kisses and her body
immediately responded to his offered distraction. She laid back and
stroked his shoulders, then slid her calf along his thigh. "Hmm...
there is. And I plan on more time just like this. If you want. "

The bronzerider didn't say anything, but he took the time to show her
just how thoroughly he wanted it.
