"How about a swim instead of a wine tonight?" Tavia asked the brown rider with a grin.
"Hmmm," he said thoughtful wrinkle creasing his brow. "That sounds promising."
"Only promising?" she pouted.
"You better pull that lip back in there missy before I nibble it off,"
he said with a suggest brow wiggle.
"Promise?" she smiled.
"Uh huh," he grinned as he took a 'threatening' step towards her.
She smirked backing away a few steps, "Race you to the lake."
B'ram nodded. "Do you want a head start?"
"I don't need one brownrider."
"Then let's go!" he laughed as he brushed past her and began sprinting down the hall. "Come on and try to beat me, greenrider!"
Tavia was glad she grown up in this Weyr. She knew places he didn't. She ducked past some weyrbrats, laughing at their started expressions. B'ram came to a confused stop as his feet hit the sand and found her already standing on the water's edge. "Shards, how did you get passed me?"
"I told you, I grew up here. Used to race my friends all the time." she smirked. "So much for needing a head start wouldn't you say?"
The brownrider knew he had been beat. "So what kind of a reward can I offer you?"
"How about a nice picnic next testday?"
"A picnic, huh? That's a rather high demand." B'ram would definitely have to start asking around for great picnic spots in the area. Preferably hidden ones.
"We could race again? she offered sweetly.
His eyebrows raised questioningly. "And then what would I end up owing you, huh?"
"We'll discuss that if you lose."
"Well, I have a better race for you," the brownrider said as his green eyes danced with mischief.
"And that would be?"
He leaned down to whisper in her ear, "I'll race you up to my weyr?"
"Sure thing. I'll beat you to your weyr too."
"I'm counting on it," he grinned. "And on the way, you can decide what kind of reward you'd like."
"Your on." she laughed and darted past him. HE was certainly lots of fun.
