It had to be one of the most boring duties in the Weyr. Keeping watch. Lialeth rather enjoyed it, she got to greet and chat with all the dragons coming and going. While she just got to record them down. Her body was goind dead so she took a walk around the watch spot.
"Hey! Where are you going? I'm not on for another ten minutes!" an amused voiced called behind her. F'lep knew his old Clutchmate had the watch preceding his, so he decided to walk up and have a chat before he and his green took over the duties.
"Hey F'lep," She was delighted just to see someone come and talk. "I'm just stretching my legs. They got all numb from all this sitting and watching."
"Any cute blueriders come in need of a welcome?" he asked hopefully. Shards, he hadn't gotten laid since his green Rose. Not even a make-out session!
"No, none I've noticed. Lot of official track though. The happenings in River Bluff has gotten all Weyrs stirred up. Bronzeriders coming and going, lot of messengers," Ciendra replied.
"I bet. Oh but those bronzeriders! Hmmmmm..." F'lep had hoped that a bronzerider would catch his Sarath, but the bluerider was extremely cute and definitely up for another round after, so that at least was lucky. With a long sigh, he put an arm around her shoulders. "Have you ever had a bronze boy?"
"Yes, I have," Ciendra replied and actually managed to say it without blushing.
"Ooooh," he wailed in jealousy, "Of course you have! Tell me, are they as good as I dream?"
"Of course it was,"Ciendra said. Especially since she's had a crush on him since...forever. "But you can get luck if some bronze catches Sarath."
"That would be so lucky," he agreed but then quickly shook his head. "But no. If I wake up next to a blue there's the possibility for further action, but if it's a brown or bronzerider... They'll be out the door before I can even make the suggestion! I don't even get the satisfaction of _remembering_ it all! _You_ on the other hand can have any man you wake up next to!"
"Yes, even the old ones," Ciendra made a face. Lialeth had once been caught a rider old enough to be her grandfather. That been awkward.
"What are you complaining about, Ciendra? The old ones are the ones that know all the tricks!" After a lifetime of experience, they had a thing or two to teach an eager pupil!
"Yes, but they might lack, you know, stamina, of a younger person," Ciendra replied and turned crimson. Why was she speaking things like this?
F'lep rolled his eyes. This girl obviously didn't know what she was missing. "Yeah, but I'm sure you know there is more than one way to please a woman, just like there is more than one way to please a man."
Ciendra just shrugged. No, she didn't know, she was only sixteen and not that well versed in those matters.
"Oh, sweet Ciendra," he said with a sympathetic shake of his head, "do you have any special friends who can help you with your education at all?"
"Well," Ciendra hesitated. L'cor had educated her when she had been senior weyrlings, so that she was prepared when Lialeth Rose. But he was weymated and Ciendra couldn't dream of wedging herself between a couple.
"I mean, I know you're not innocent." Her green had definitely Risen just as his had. "You've got to have had _someone_ that you practiced with..."
Ciendra let out a little huff of frustration. "Most people seem to think me too young. They just pat me in head and tell how adorable I am."
"Then what about a guy a few Turns older? The Weyrbred boys might be young, but they're not clueless. Need me to introduce you to some nice blueriders I know?" He could vouch for their creativity and experience.
Ciendra did know few nice blueriders on her own, most were her wingmates. "It can't hurt," she said.
"That's the spirit," F'lep said, giving her shoulder another encouraging squeeze. "You'll be ready for your next Flight in no time!"
"Thanks," Ciendra said.
