}:I told you Girifith's rider does not have company. Why won't you go to him?:{ Nyith asked softly, concerned and a little confused about why her rider was so upset.
"Because if I go to him, I'll be admitting things I sharding don't _want_
to admit." Traelyn wearily rubber her brow before looking up at her golden queen, whose jeweled eyes were whirling gently.
}:Admit to whom?:{ "To him." And to herself.
Nyith dipped her head to lightly brush the tip of her nose against her rider, and she began to croon comfortingly, lovingly - not for the first time that day. }:You are upset. He can help in the way you need.:{ And it was true. Shards, how she _hated_ that it was true. She needed the scorching brownrider tonight, though every part of her loathed to be near him. Her jaw tightened just thinking about him and what he'd done to her.
And what she'd done to him.
But B'ram was the only one who could give her what she needed. She couldn't go to anyone else. They wouldn't understand. A bitter, half-smile twisted her lips. How obscure - to want to spend a night of passion with a man who she hadn't developed feelings for, who she wasn't tied to or bound to in any way. There was no loyalty between them, and the only things they shared were a bleak past and their loathing for one another. But he would ask no questions, and demand no answers. He would give to her what she wanted and how she wanted it. It would be a fierce coming together, and yet... A shiver ran down her spine. What kind of woman had she become, to desire such a thing?
She was such a scorching hypocrite in so many sharding ways. And by going to B'ram, she'd be lashing out at N'vanik, and yes, even U'kaiah.
Traelyn stared at the door to the brownrider's weyr, wondering vaguely how she got there as she raised her hand and rapped her knuckles across the wood. She shuddered, hating herself for doing this. Hating herself for letting her emotions carry her away. Hating herself for be so scorching rash.
If B'ram was surprised to see the Weyrwoman at his door it didn't show on his face. In fact, no emotion showed on his face as he stood in his door and looked Traelyn straight in the eye, waiting.
The thought came to her: what if he refused? And he had ever right to, damn him. She glared up into his eyes, her hands fisting slightly at her sides.
The brownrider merely lifted an eyebrow. "Come to admonish me, Traelyn?
If you have, why don't you get on with it and leave me in peace."
She flushed. Shards, shards, _shards_... "I know I shouldn't be here."
Traelyn wanted to believe that her voice was husky from the conflicting emotions building in her, not from the aching desire that burned through her veins.
"Then why _are_ you here?" B'ram tried to tell himself that it was in his imagination, to calm down. But he could feel his heart beating a little faster as he saw a familiar spark in her eye. **Sharding woman, probably come to play with me.**
"I...need something tonight, B'ram."
He wanted to think of some snide remark. He wanted to laugh in her face. He wanted to slam the door shut and leave her all alone outside his door. But his body remembered the way she could make him feel. It betrayed him by taking a step back into his weyr.
Traelyn didn't know if she felt relieved or angry that he didn't turn her away. **What kind of woman am I?** After a moment's hesitation, she slowly came inside, her body suddenly near enough to his that she could feel the warmth of his flesh. Her fingers brushed against the inside of his arm, whether it was on accident, or whether it was a purposeful caress, she didn't know. She wasn't sure if she wanted to know.
B'ram closed the door behind her before she found herself pressed between the door and the brownrider's body, his mouth hungrily searching hers. He didn't sharding care _why_ she had come, or why she had wanted this. It didn't matter. He was more than willing to give it to her - a fact which both confused and annoyed him. But the frustration would only add to the passion, and so he embraced it whole-heartedly.
She hated the way her back arched to his touch of its own volition. She hated how her lips responded to his without her having to even think. Snarling softly, her hands clenched at his arms, her kisses becoming swifter, deeper - as if she hoped that with each one, she could drive those scorching thoughts from her head.
Shards but he hated how her body seemed to fit so perfectly against his own. He hated the way she tasted too, all sweet and addicting. He hated those little noises she made everytime he touched because it made him want to touch her more. And he hated himself for wanting more, wanting _everything_, and knowing that he would get it only made it worse.
Memories flashed through her mind; N'vanik grinning as he plucked stray blades of grass from the tangle of her hair; U'kaiah kneeling before her, his fingers caressing up her legs; N'vanik growling angrily at her, his expression livid beneath the dark, swelling bruise; U'kaiah gazing up at her, his hands on her soft, coaxing, with unveiled desire in his eyes... She moaned, jerking B'ram closer, one leg shifting to wrap around one of his, her skirts catching on his boot as she brought his hips in line with hers. She could feel how much he wanted her - and shardit, she _would_
forget everything else but that tonight!
