G'nir

He'd had a short amount of time to settle, but he knew duty needed to
come first. He had already made arrangements over the past sevendays
for his transfer, but now that he was here, it was time to report to
the man in charge.

Knocking on the open door, T'nom stepped over the threshold, looking for G'nir.

"G'nir, sir. T'nom, rider of bronze Taldeth, reporting in for my new
assignment," he stated once he'd stepped into the office.

"Welcome to Dragonsfall Weyr, T'nom, please take a seat." G'nir welcomed him in.

"Thank you. I'm glad to be here," he slid into the seat across from G'nir.

"So, what made you to transferr to Dragonsfall Weyr?" G'nir asked when
the younger bronze rider was settled down. It was standard question
that all transferss faced.

"Two things really," T'nom replied, "A new start for me, and also I
knew your bronzerider ranks had been hit hard in recent times, so
there would be more chance for advancement here for a young rider like
me."

"Yes, we are having a bit of shortage of bronzeriders, so adding you
to our ranks is most welcome," G'nir said. He had familiarized himself
with T'nom's file before he came in and the young man had quite good
references from Dolphin Cove. "Have you any kind of experience of
leadership?" G'nir asked.

"As a rider? Not much, really. I mean I led during my weyrling days,
but everyone had chances to lead then. They gave us all some turns
even in the fighting wings, but they relied more on the seasoned, more
experienced riders, which of course made sense." T'nom knew it was
wise to use the talent of experience, but he'd been itching for his
own chance to take on more leadership.

"Well, then, Dragonsfall is definently an
opportunity for you. Fewbronzes mean more open spots," G'nir said. He
pondered if he should do
same thing with T'nom as he was doing with N'call. Let him try his
skills in diffent, vacant ranks.
"I'm placing you to Cyan wing, under K'ran."

"Thank you, sir. I'll go and speak with K'ran then as soon as possible
so I can get acquainted with the wing. Thank you again for the
opportunity to join the wings here at Dragonsfall," T'nom stated.

"You're welcome. We need people like you here," G'nir replied with all
honestly. "I look forward seeing your performances during the drills."

"Thank you sir. I will make you proud. I promise." T'nom replied.
