Anyone gonna do it (or at least make the attempt) this year?

Vix

I am!
So far I've only posted in the regional forum of the board -- I'm one of the MLs who has not yet received SuperPowers, so I can't mod yet.

However, I have a general idea for this year's novel.

I'm trying to decide if I want to try again this year.

Of course you do!

You mean procrastinators can have a go too?  I'm in!

Well, heck Vickie! You've talked me into it! :jg:

So do I ...  What good ideas you have, Vix.

Rochelle

Man, you beat me to starting this thread! :)

But my answer is certainly OH YEAH!!!!!

I've been plotting my novel for months now, since last year meandered off. :D Hopefully I'll be able to work it around school.... **crosses fingers**

Everyone! Join the fun!

I've come up with some ideas... help me pick which one is best!

I'm thinking about it. I've signed up for the past two years and then never gotten beyond two thousand words because I've run out of ideas. I think that I need to spend more time in October doing some worldbuilding and character development before plunging headlong in.

Either that, or I'll finish up a story for a couple of 'lost' characters from previous pbems, like the blind woman who wants her estate back, or the sourpuss mage who has a Manticore for a friend. Mostly, I just need to retrain myself to write.

Kaysea

I've started three times now, the furthest I got into it was about 15,000 words before I faltered.

At the moment I just draw a blank for ideas, which is why Amanda's ideas all slayed me.  So much talent even for outlines.

I may, I may not.  Depends if I get any inspiration.

I have three card classes during November which also cut into my time. *sighs* (Yeah yeah, I hear all you real workers laughing at me!)

Anyone who can only think of only one way to spell a word obviously lacks imagination.

I'm retired - you should hear my friends laugh like hennas when I talk about being short of time.  Unkind!

How's it going?

I had to be at work at 6:30 a.m. today, but woke up early and wrote 1100 words before leaving. Now I have a few hours to eat and write before a meeting tonight. I'm confident that I'll reach my 2000 word self-imposed daily goal -- for today at least. Tomorrow? Who knows?

I'm going to a word count on all my posts for the month, since I don't need a novel, anyway.  Zero, so far. :laughing5:

Yvonne

Never happened. October's end kicked me in the ass and I didn't do the outlining and worldbuilding I needed to feel good about writing. I like knowing the background details before I plunge into things.
