I expect everybody to use their own discretion with respect to their take on Internet safety, but ...

Why don't we introduce ourselves as real people?  Most the intrtoductions over there in that other forum are about us as writers.  We pick up a few facts here and there (Mikel has a grandson) but let's have the twenty second summary.

Jane ... this is what I'm called in RL, too.

The country I live in is ... an island - but a big one.

The house I live in is ... single storey with a garden all round and not joined on to other houses.

The house is in ... a small city.

My part of the country has ... no snow / tornadoes / bush fires but does have earthquakes and is fairly close to active volcanoes.

My household includes ... no pets right now but usually includes a cat, and there's a husband here too.

I have ... three grown-up stepchildren and four grandchildren.

I don't ... work outside the home (or much inside it, either).

I do ... read a lot and collect books.

Amanda ... that's my name!

The country I live in is ... The US.

The house I live in is ... a one bedroom apartment, which is old and a little worn-out but a great deal at 700sq ft for $285 a month!

The house is in ... Little Rock, AR.

My part of the countrty has ... a bit of snow apparently, lots of rain, tornados and bunches of hills leading into mountains.

My household includes ... me and whatever's growing in my fridge. Kidding. Sort of... I do plan on getting some sort of small critter, but I can't have any free-roaming type pets (cats or dogs).

I have ... no kids.

I don't ... get paid simply because I exist. Which isn't fair at all. Existing is hard work!

I do ... read fanfiction. That's right! And watch a lot of tv. You heard me! And enjoy big blockbuster movies. So there! And like products produced by giant souless corporations. Neener neener! And I love meat. Lots of meat. Steak that bleeds when I cut into it. Booyah!

Patrick

Patrick... its my real name too.

I live in... the US.

My house... is HUGE!  like 1200sq feet or something and the original part has been standing since the 1700's.

The house is in... Maine, somewhere

My part of the country has... lots a trees and lots a snow

my household includes... my mum, da (scept he's in Oklamhoma right now for work) and t pets, dog, cat, two turtles and my sister.

I have... no kids (thank GOD!) but I do have an awesome room and a car.

I don't... like cake.  Thats the only thing I don't like.  I like pie and ice cream cake and sweets in general, but not cake.

I do... not have a girlfriend (pout).  Which is sad because I've been single for over two years and it sucks.

Jane

Quote from: "Patrick"... the original part has been standing since the 1700's.
:megaeek:

That's incredible.

Patrick

Yup and it survived a huge fire that swept through in the 1940's.  IT was saved by a bunch of Boy Scouts who beat the flames with wet blankets around the house.  The only downside, low ceilings.  I hit my head on EVERY doorframe!

Vix

Vix ... however, in RL I'm Vickie. On other boards or sites I'm known as prekharper, amishlurker, or fallingllama.

The country I live in is ... the US.

The house I live in is ... two story single dwelling, of which I rent the bottom floor. It has extremely high ceilings and I have mobiles and windchimes hanging from the beams and archways. It also has a wrap-around porch, a yard, and a barn.

The house is in ... a small town -- Mifflinburg, PA.

My part of the country has ... snow, floods, wind, cold, hot, a little bit of everything.

My household includes ... a black long-haired cat named Slink, a friend named Donna and her daughter Chenoa. Technically, I still have a husband, but am just working on the legalities of that and have not had to put up with him for about a year and a half.

I have ... two grown-up children, one of whom lives in Orlando, FL, and the other in Jeonju, ROK.

I don't ... study any more (just finished a degree program and am trying to relax).

I do ... work fulltime as a teacher and try to relax when I get home.

Roxanne -- my middle name, but the one I've answered to since I was very little.  I'm named after my aunt and my great aunt. My aunt died not too long before I was born so my mom didn't want to call me that and it doesn't sound right the other way around.

I don't ...  have a teaching job yet, but I'm still looking for one.

Firstly, Jane this was  a wonderful idea......

now.....onto the important stuff....

My name is ..... Karen, but I had a story published a few years ago in an adult magazine, and I needed a moniker so Kaysea came about... K C being my initials, the moniker stuck and I'm known throughout cyber-space as Kaysea.

The country I live in is ... *sings*

Where beer does flow and men chunder
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?

My part of the country has ... beaches, countryside, bushfires, the odd earth tremor (very seldom) - but thankfully, no earthquakes, no tornados, no hurricanes, no volcanos..well two actually on either side of us, but they have been dead for a few hundred thousand years, so we feel safe here.... except for redback spiders, huntsman, red bellied black snakes, ummm, tiger snakes, trap door spiders.... the list is endless...

My household includes ... me, hubby Mark, Aimee - 15, Bobbie - 14, Cailee - almost 3, Gipsie (german shep), Teaza (maltese) and Blackie your regulation moggy.  Oh, and Mel - (19) on the odd weekend....
