Description: A very cold G'wen looks for someone to warm him up.
Location: Dragonsfall Weyr
Date: month 9, day 15 of Turn 7
How could this have happened? G'wen hunched down and blew on his hands. He
swore the entire Dinning Hall was covered in ice, it felt so cold. S'vin
and Catrien had already left for some transport duty, blithely telling
G'wen it was to Dolphin Cove Weyr, just to rub it in that they were going
someplace warm for the day. Feeling distinctly grumpy, the boy sat on his
hands, hoping that would warm them up. E'naer was with the weyrlings but he
should be back at any moment, at least that's what G'wen was hoping for.
"I've been hauling in fire wood whole day," Sh'lua's complaining voice
carried in from the hallway.
"Hah, let's switch. I take the transport duty, _You_ run around looking
after weyrlings for whole day," E'naer replied with a snort. Now that the
weyrlings had their own weyrs, it means they were more spread around and
keeping eye of them meant literally going around whole Weyr. They entered
the Dining Hall. Sh'lua was still wearing outdoor clothes, thin dusting of
snow on his helmet and shoulders.
"G'wen!" E'naer sounded delighted when he spotted his weyrmate. He
lengthened his stride.
"Yay, there's two of you! All the more to warm me up!" G'wen ran up to
E'naer and gave him a hearty hug and a kiss. "I'm so cold," he whinged to
his weyrmate when the kiss broke.
"You, and everybody else," E'naer replied and wrapped his arms around him.
"I'm happy to warm up you both," Sh'lua grinned leeringly. But he walked
over to warm his hands near the fireplace.
G'wen shot him a flirty look over his shoulder. "I am_very_cold."
"Getting greedy, aren't you?" E'naer asked with a cocked eyebrow. Not that
he would mind.
"Ha! You're both a lot bigger than me, so it'd be the best way to get warm.
That, or just crawl under Neath." He chuckled.
"I'm big enough for both of you," Sh'lua said. Walking over, he wrapped his
arms around both of them.
G'wen opened his mouth to protest, but then shut it smartly when he felt
Sh'lua's muscles up against him. His stomach did a funny little drop when
he remembered the time Sh'lua's blue had won Neath and the aftereffects
he'd felt for days after. He glanced up at E'naer to see if he was upset at
all, trying hard not to let it show how much he was enjoying being between
the two much bigger men.
E'naer didn't seem to notice anything. Instead he just wrinkled his nose.
"You stink, Sh'lua," he remarked.
"Well, forgive me if chopping wood whole day made me bit sweaty," the
bluerider replied with offended tone. "And a cold bath doesn't appeal to
me."
That gave E'naer an idea. "Do you two have any duties right now? We could
go to my island. The water is warm there and sunshine is almost
guaranteed," he looked from G'wen to Sh'lua. He had taken G'wen to the
island once or twice. From same island where he had found Feral.
"If Elli can wake up Neath, then I'm in!" G'wen knew for a fact that Neath
was sound asleep in the wallow she shared with Ellisbeth.
"I bet she can," E'naer replied. "She has lot of experience of waking up
hatchlings."
"A tropical island with two of my favourite greenriders? I'm loving the
idea," Sh'lua grinned.
"Great, can we go_now_?" G'wen shivered in emphasis. Really, it was just
too cold here. The sooner things were fixed, the better
"Okay. I'll get a basket of something to eat from the kitchens. Meet you at
the weyrbowl in fifteen minutes," E'naer said. **Eillie-luv, wake up Neath,
we are going somewhere warm.**
}: I could use some sun,:{ the green agreed.
}:Sun, you said?:{ Instantly Neath was wide awake.
G'wen watched his weyrmate leave the two of them before raising an eyebrow
to Sh'lua. "Well, Neath's up in record time. Do you need to get anything
before we go?" He kept his body close to the bluerider's in an overtly
familiar way.
"Maybe few blankets? I don't like sand in sensitive places," Sh'lua
suggested. He was getting his hopes up (not to mention a certain bodypart.)
"Okay, stay right here then, I'll go get them." **And flight straps** G'wen
added in his mind. Before setting off across the bowl, he pushed against
Sh'lua's chest with his rear, letting the older man know without words that
he could feel Sh'lua's physical interest and was just as interested. It had
been something he knew E'naer had been curious about for a while now.
In no time at all the three dragons had winked from the cold winter skies.
