Writers: Chelle, Yvonne
Date Posted: 3rd September 2013

Characters: Harki, P'nal
Description: Harki's green Cerillith rises
Location: Dragonsfall Weyr
Date: month 2, day 23 of Turn 7

The signs were there: Cerillith's darkening hide, her rider's restlessness. When
Cerillith rose that sunny afternoon, Harki urged her on through a sky darkening
with blue and brown wings. Her nimble green turned on her wingtips and spiraled
tauntingly between her suitors, too fast to be caught before she was ready.

Amongst them was brown Jodeth. Catcher of greens and he knew his business. This
one had been gone too long and he would remind her. Grunting, he flew farther
than the blues, using his size to keep his course steady though he didn't hope
to match her in acrobatics.

Standing there in the flight circle, P'nal watched Harki-seeing her with Jodeth's
eyes. She was speeding along ahead of him. She would tire though and then when
she did, he would be ready. The brownrider saw the others and then promptly
forgot about them.

And Cerillith made her choice.

A while later Harki came back to herself, her body sore but sated and heavy, and
her mind still fogged by her dragon's lust. She drew little circles across
someone's chest and wondered how long she'd been doing that. Not that it
mattered. Letting her gaze travel upwards, she found P'nal watching her, his
arms wrapped around her. She smiled. It was always better when it was someone
you knew. "How're you doing?"

"At the moment, pretty well thanks. And you?" He didn't move. He
didn't want to move. He didn't want to go anywhere. He opened his nostrils just
enough to smell her so that she didn't notice. It had been a long time-maybe
too long. He didn't say any of that to her, though. To her it might have been just
a Flight.

"I'm happy." She closed her eyes and lay her head on his chest,
letting herself relax. It was nice to be held.

"Are you happy? That you came home I mean? Has everything been working
out?" There was a note of curiosity in his tone. P'nal had never asked why
Harki had left the other Weyr after so long. And he wouldn't. It didn't matter
why she left but rather that she wouldn't leave again. She was too much a part of
this place and a welcome break from G'nir, U'kaiah and all that ambition and
infighting and complexity. The brownrider was simple.

"I am?" She sometimes wondered herself. "I think I am. So much
has changed here, but so many things haven't. Why--" the tone of her voice
changed as she snuggled a little closer. "Are you happy I'm back?"

"Of course. Not everyone has a rump like that." And to emphasize his
point, he pinched her just a little bit before giving a small chuckle.

"Hey!" She smacked him lightly, although she was smiling. "There
are better things you could be doing with your hands, you know."

"Of course. I could say the same for you, greenrider." Turning over,
he found himself burying his face in her hair. And then his fingers were
searching, touching.

Her lips curved in a smile as she stretched against him. Excellent-- he
was game. The Flight may have been over
but her body still felt its pull, and she gasped as P'nal demonstrated just
how clever his fingers could be. And his
body beneath her hands... she'd never pictured
her Wingsecond naked before, and couldn't quite think why not.

And then, for a while, she didn't think of anything at all.
