Description: Uegot and his family arrive to Sunstone Seahold
Location: Sunstone Seahold
Date: month 1, day 19 of Turn 7

Uegot had wrapped his arm around his wife shoulders. They stood at the
bow of the ship, watching the approaching port.

"That's Sunstone Seahold, our new home," Uegot remarked. "The seahall
will be..that way, I think. I'm not sure if you can see the actual
location from here," he pointed.

Nerylyn reached her hands up to hold onto her husband's massive arms.
She felt totally engulfed in him as they stood there. It was a feeling
she adored and had come to look forward to. Standing much smaller than
her very tall husband, Nerylyn had a lot of spunk in her despite her
diminutive size.

"I know we will be happy here," she replied. She knew the move was for
the best, but her heart was still heavy. It had been hard to leave her
family and friends behind at Jade Harbour. She had lived and worked
there all her life. Now, however, their life was about to change in
ways she couldn't even imagine.

Just then a mass of dark curls nearly catapulted herself over the bow
of the ship. "Nerue! Get away from that railing right now!" Nerylyn
chastened the young girl, reaching out to grab the back of her tunic
before the girl tumbled headfirst overboard. With a feigned swat the
five-year old darted off after her older siblings once again.

"I think they will be happy to have the land to run free on again,"
she remarked to her husband. His life had always been at sea, but for
her, this had been quite a journey. She'd ridden out with him from
time to time, but nothing like this. With their whole family and all
they possessed in tow. This was the start of a whole new adventure.
What would Sunstone Seahold and the new seahall be like? She knew she
would be spending much time in both. Would the people there be as
accepting of her and her spunk as those at Jade Harbor had been? She
doubted it. Uegot had prepared her for the fact that she likely
wouldn't be able to work as a technician anymore. That thought
saddened her, but she accepted it with the same poise and grace she
accepted all the challenges in her life. One must just pick up and
soldier on.

"I will be glad to get back on land, my love," she told him, pulling
his arms tighter about her as the ship made it's way closer and closer
to their new home.

"Me too, darling," Uegot replied and kissed her head. "Let's see how
long it takes before you kick me out the sea again," he said with a
teasing tone. Born into a family with close ties with Weyr (including
two younger siblings as dragonriders), had given Uegot more broader
perspective to the life. He had visited the Sunstone few times, enough
that crafter-wife wouldn't be as well received there than in Jade
Harbour hold. Deep down he worried she would be frustrated, not being
able to work with her craft.

"You know I always love having you around," she turned in his arms,
tilting her head to look up to him. Then with a saucier smile she
added, "but I _do_ enjoy the freedom when you're off at sea." Her eyes
twinkled with merriment at her teasing tone. She loved her husband
very much, but the time apart actually seemed to help their marriage.
She missed him during those times and the reunions, oh well, _they_
were always worth remembering.

The ship they were on sailed closer and Nerylyn turned to look to the
coast again. There was activity on the shore and there was evidence of
the Hall's progress before their very eyes.

Uegot just grinned back. He admired her ability to handle things while
he was away. She was so much more independent that the average
southern woman.
He looked around and noted the sailor positioning themselves to dock the
ship.
"I'll get the children, so they don't get underfoot when we dock," he
said and almost recluntantly let go of her.
He disappeared to track down their offsprings.

When he came back, he had one child on his arms, one riding his back
and two others clung to his tree-trunk like legs. "Help, I was
attacked by these bloodfishes," he said with serious face. The
children giggled.

Nerylyn turned and couldn't help but join the children as they
giggled. Uegot with all four children clinging to him was quite a
site. She wished she had an artist's eye to capture the moment
forever.

"I don't know," she replied slowly, her eyes twinkling, "those are
some pretty vicious bloodfishes. I may just have to stay away, lest
they attack me next." She grinned and little Uelyn giggled further
from where she'd been clinging to her father's leg.

"Come on brood, it's time to see what our new home is like and see
what mischief we can manage here." Nerylyn enjoyed her children and
their joy. She never let them get into _real_ trouble, but she did
believe children needed room to grow and explore and occasionally get
into a scrape here or there because of it.

With her words, the oldest children disentangled themselves from their
father's body, while the youngest squirmed in his arms.

"See, kids. That's the main hold, where the Lord Holder lives," Uegot
pointed.

"Are we going to be living there?" Gotner asked.

"At first, yes. Until they get the Hall ready and set up for families
too. It might take several months," Uegot replied. After all, the
children needed harper to teach them. He had no idea how the Hall was
going to arrange things. It was just one of the many things to do and
find out before they could finally settle down.

"Let's go check it out shall we?" She asked taking the hands of two of
their children and flashing a smile to her husband. "I'm just as eager
to see what our new home will be like."

"Yes," Uegot replied and took the two other children. He grinned back
to Nerylyn.
