Description: G'nir is triumphant once again!
Location: Dragonsfall Weyr
Date: month 7, day 4 of Turn 6
Hygalia carefully lifted the bronzerider's arm off from across her
chest. She felt the slight pull of dragonlust as cooler air washed over
her, wishing for just a moment to feel that rush of heat once more. But
while she had learned to deal with Flights, Hygalia was not one to be
ruled by one. Her relationship with G'nir was strictly business at the
moment, and therefore should not be clouded or confused by a quick
tumble after the Flight. She was sure the movement would rouse him, so
she moved quickly to sit up and begin searching for her clothes.
G'nir stirred and slowly lifted his head. He was feeling incredibly
good. The satisfaction radiating from Nirreth just added to his own
triumphat feeling. They hade made it again, he was still the Weyrleader.
Add that with the intense fullfillment of mating lust and you get one
very smug
and drained bronzerider.
"Ah, so you are awake," Hygalia smiled at him over her shoulder before
pulling her tunic over her head. "Good to see you again, G'nir."
"I'm happy to see you too, my Lady," G'nir replied with languid grin and
rolled to his side. "Leaving so soon?" he arched his eyebrows. He was
still feeling the dragonlust in his veins.
"Well, I'm not exactly running away," she said with a small laugh.
Shards, she wished he wouldn't look at her like that while she still
under the influence of the Flight. "Just getting dressed."
"Why bother?" G'nir suggested.
She shrugged shoulder, scooping up her pants from the bedside. "People
tend to not stare as much when I walk down the hallways if I wear
clothes."
G'nir was hoping she would stay for second round, but since she
obviously wasn't...he shrugged it off. He was too relaxed and frankly,
spent, to push the issue. "At least we don't have to change anything,"
his mind
shifting from sex to work. "We already have everything hammered out."
"I'm sure the Weyr is relieved to see that. Consistency in leadership
is always a very good thing." As long as it was the right leader, and
so far she had no complaints about G'nir aside from his childish rivalry
with U'kaiah. But, they were both ambitious bronzeriders, and it wasn't
all on his shoulders.
"Yes, it creates stability and safety," G'nir agreed. He got up to
sitting position and start to look for his clothes too. They seemed to
be all around the place. His stomach growled. "Care to you me for a meal
at the dining cavern?" he asked. "It would also good for Weyr to see us
together:"
"I would like that," she said with a genuine smile before diving under
the bed in search of her socks. "But," she called from under the hem of
the blanket, "wouldn't you like to find a friend before we go? To help
you work off the last of the Flight?"
"I think I can manage without. I have a very good control," G'nir said
with a dry tone. He was not U'kaiah to go and ravage some poor
unprepared girl! He would found someone for the next night.
"Good. I can respect control." Hygalia rewarded him with a pleased
smile as she peeked back up over the bed, his underpants hanging from
her finger.
"Thank you," G'nir said and took his underwear. It was bit unclear of
what he was thanking for, her compliment or giving her the clothes.
"I might like a dip in my bathing pool to freshen up a bit." Fresh was
not something Hygalia ever felt after a Flight. "Shall I come to your
room after so we can walk down together?"
"Sounds like a good idea," G'nir replied. What he really wanted was to
ask
if he could join her in her pool. He also knew when not to push it.
Hygalia could almost see the invitation in his eyes, and appreciated
that he had not asked it. She definitely didn't feel that just by the
fact that he was her Weyrleader that he was entitled to her or her bed.
Still, she knew a little reward to keep things cordial and friendly
would not be amiss. Leaning back over the bed, she gave him a quick
kiss on the lips as thanks. "I'll see you in about half a candlemark
then?"
"Yes," G'nir promised and smiled. She was kind of woman he liked and
most important for them was get along. He was quite capable to let his
personal feelings take the passanger's straps.
"It really was a good Flight," she said, returning his smile as she
leaned back and pulled herself up on her feet. "See you soon."
"It was," G'nir agreed, his eyes showing the pleasure he felt for
winning
it. Of course, it was in truth Nirreth who had won.
