Teseada

Teseada

G'wen stirred his food around, feeling slightly better with something in his
stomach. He certainly felt better enough to fully feel just how run down
his body was. Thank Faranth the Weyr's Masterhealer had stepped down.
Facing the wrath of his father and lover were going to be bad enough without
throwing in the unhappy healer as well.

:}Speaking of...:{ Neath said.

**What?**

She ignored him to buggle to a certain green who had appeared in the skies.

"Who?" asked Teseada, of both G'wen and Onnyth.

Greeting both Neath and Onnyth, Eillispeth landed in front of the hold.
Three dragons at once, and one of them gold had collected large crowd of
oglers. Nobody was getting anything done. It even draw the attention of the
Lord Holder.

E'naer dismounted quickly and asked for directions. One of the more braver
holdbrats promised to show him the way to the infirmary.

Corowal left his office to find out why his hold was being invaded by these
dragonriders. He couldn't recognize the gold, and he was pretty sure he
could tell the Dolphin Cove's queens by sight. (Well, perhaps not the new
Second's).

It was a mortified G'wen that watched his lover come into the room where he
and Teseada were. "I can explain...". He glanced over to the gold rider for
help.

"E'naer?" Teseada wondered, then she realised from the look on G'wen's face
why the man had come. "He's going to be fine."

E'naer was more worried than angry. "Are you all right, G'wen? What
happened?" He asked and bent to examine the younger greenrider.

"I would like to know that too," Corowal said from the door. He could read
the knots and what he saw made the whole thing even more peculiar. He had
Dragonsfall's Weyrwoman's second and Weyrlingsmaster's third. G'wen was not
wearing his knots, but he presumed he was the second green's rider. The boy
looked young enough to be weyrling, so that would explain the
Weyrlingmaster's Third. Why was the goldrider here, unless to keep the green
from panicing?

"Lord Corowal," Teseada said by way of greeting as she stepped back from
where G'wen lay. "Greenrider G'wen was taken ill whilst on duty here. Your
Master Healer was kind enough to treat him."

"Ah, I'll wish you a speedy recovery," Corowal replied.

"How did it happen, G'wen? Did you push yourself too hard?" E'naer asked
with the "I'm so worried I'm almost angry for scaring me" -voice.

"I...uh, I dunno exactly." G'wen took E'naer's hand and fixed him with his
large soft eyes. "I'm sorry, I thought I was okay. We got here and
everything felt weird and next thing I knew I was here." He patted the bed
under him.

"Oh, G'wen. You gave us a heart attack," E'naer bent to give him a kiss, and
not a chaste one.

Corowal arched his eyebrow, this was getting more and more interesting.

"Master Miranek was very helpful," Teseada said to the Lord Holder.
"Dragonsfall will want to thank him for his assistance."

"I'm sorry," G'wen mumbled to E'naer, feeling a mix of being embarrassed to
have attracted so much attention and just feeling weak and ill. He lay back
and shut his eyes whilst still keeping a hand in E'naer's, wanting that
reassurance. What a long day this had been.

"It's our duty to. Please, do enjoy our hospitality," Corowal responded with
a bow to her.

"You just get better," E'naer whispered to G'wen and stroked his hair out of
his face.

G'wen sighed at the light touch and felt himself slipping into sleep.

"Thank you Milord," Teseada said, nodding to the Lord Holder. She hadn't
failed to notice how E'naer was acting, and made a mental note to perhaps
tactfully suggest that he tone it down out of the weyr, not all appreciated
that kind of display.

"Umh, Could you ask your dragons to move a little less inauspicious place,
like fire heights? They are kind of in the way," Corowal asked her with
apologetic tone.

"Consider it done, " she replied. "Onnyth will have them moving in a
moment," her attention shifting slightly away as she passed on the message
to her gold, and asked to to make sure the greens moved as well.

As Miranek commenced with a brief, yet thorough examination of the young
greenrider, pausing only once to gesture to the older greenrider to ask him
to move a little so he could complete his task.

"I think I'm going to suggest that you stay here over night. You're
obviously still recovering from that scoring in 'fall and I'd be loath to
let you go /between/ in this condition." Miranek was aware his words may not
go well with the young man, but he was sure the goldrider, if nobody else
could persuade him to stay and rest.

G'wen just nodded. As long as he had E'naer with him, he wasn't worried
about where he was. And having Teseada here as well helped.

"Thank you, Goldrider..." Corowal realized he didn't know her name.

"Teseada," she said, supplying her name. "I hope it's no problem for your
infirmary if G'wen takes the chance to rest here over night."

"Well met, my Lady," Corowal bowed again. "It's not a problem. Miranek
will take good care of your rider," he nodded at the master healer.
"If you excuse me, I'll get back to my work." And he was going to
inform Sarban and the headwoman of their unannounced guests.
