Lady Felyna

Felyna

As planned, she stopped by the kitchens to get Corowal's lunch, and a
little for herself as well, and then wandered to her husband's office.
The man would skip eating sometimes, if not reminded, and he was in the
middle of something. And, with all the happenings around Morin and his new
Hold, she knew her husband would most definitely be _up_ to something.

She smiled as she thought of her conversation with Sarban, though, and what
that might bring to the benefit of Emerald Falls.

But for now, though, she had her husband to care for, and some news to
share with him that was sure to make him forget about Morin for a time.

"Corowal?" She knocked and spoke his name. "I've brought your lunch,
husband."

"Just step right in," Corowal called. He put down the record he had been
reading and stretched. "Is it lunch time already?"

"Almost past, love." She smiled as she came in, leaving the basket on the
desk before moving around to slip her arms around his stretching back. A
gentle kiss on his cheek was her greeting, and the smile still sparkled in
her eyes. "I thought I might spend lunch with you, if that is alright?"

"That's just fine, lovely," Corowal replied with a fond smile.

"I've more than lunch to share with you, if you would like to know." Her
smile was secretive, but surely proud. He would probably guess, though
she knew he paid little to no attention to her comings and goings, unless
he happened to miss her at a function at which he expected to see her.

Meanwhile, to tease out the sharing, she set their lunch out, and then
settled herself in his lap for a moment, wiggling attractively.

"Oh?" Corowal was momentarily distracted by her hip movements and not
really paying any attention to her words.

She paused to give him a sweet kiss, and being in just the right position,
in his lap, she leaned back a little to smile at him.

"I hope you meant it when you sad you wanted more children love, because
you are going to be a father, again. At _your_ age..." She gazed closely
at him, determined to watch his face. Oh, she couldn't wait to see his
reaction!

"A father again?," A slow smile spread to his lips. "How wonderful!" he
spent few minutes just proving how wonderful the thought was by kissing her
deeply.

_Very_ satisfied by his response, she clung to him tightly, not caring if
anyone walked in on them. After a few wonderful minutes of kissing, she
leaned back just a small distance from his handsome face and traced his
lips with her fingers. "I couldn't be happier, love." And for that
instant, in that moment, she loved him completely, and totally, giving up
her barriers for one, shining moment. It shone from her eyes brightly
before she visibly tried to dim the look. What if he learned how much she
loved him? She would lose her one bargaining chip, her one secret she kept
hidden from him.

To distract him, she went on in a more normal voice. "What about a family
trip to celebrate?"

"Sounds good to me. Except for Morin's party coming up, there's nothing
pressing going on. Where to? Do you want all of us to go at your parents?"
Corowal replied. It wouldn't hurt to keep up good relationship with the
in-laws.

"Oh! Oh that would be marvelous, Corowal! I haven't been home in months,
and last time I went alone. I would love to take you and the children to
meet them, and share the news perhaps, of their coming grandchild." She
paused for another kiss, then something in his statement made her stop.

"That reminds me... I just came from Sarban, and he invited me to help with
planning a special "surprise" for Morin at his party, in the person of two
lovely young women who just had to come along with me to enjoy the party.
What a good thought, if he doesn't see right through their presence, that
is."

"Oh, yes, Sarban and I talked about it. I would like to keep an eye on
Morin," Corowal said and smiled. "He's clever though, so he just might
reject them..or convert them against us," ah, yes, he just loved
hold-politics. Sometimes it was so intricate you could turn it into knots.

"It will be fascinating to find out." She grinned, knowing from the look
on his face he was thinking how much he loved Hold politics. She frowned
then, briefly, wondering if she should mention that she thought they should
send -Erassa- to Morin, but she knew better. Her instincts told her it
would just open a gulf and too soon after her happy news.

"Perhaps we should wait until after Morin's party to plan our trip?"

"Up to you, you know my schedule as well as I do," Corowal replied. "But if
you put it off too long, you might not feel like traveling," he warned. At
least Ofelia had been too sick to travel during her pregnancies. "Have you
talked with Miranek yet?" Morin really wasn't high on his list of
priorities right now.

Felyna nodded. "Yes, and, I cannot go /between/ on dragons either.... "
Her lush lips turned down into a frown.

"Ahh, no, Corowal. That means I cannot go to Morin's party." Her frown
deepened. She hated the though of letting her husband out of her sight for
that long, but perhaps he come back in the evenings.

"Instead, I will talk to Miranek and get my first checkup. I feel fine so
far and I am young and healthy. I do not expect to feel too sick beyond
the normal for women in my ...condition...." She smiled warmly at him,
then kissed him once more.

"I'll leave you to finish your lunch and your work, then? Perhaps see you
this evening?"

"Of course you'll see me," Corowal replied. He was very happy man right now
and planned to celebrate this evening. Without wine, naturally.
