Date: month 7, day 5 of Turn 6

G'wen stretched luxurly and tousled his hair before turning to his
lover. Kissing E'naer lightly on the neck, he moved to his jaw and
then his eyes before settling on his lips. He kissed them lightly,
nuzzled E'naer's nose
with his own and then kissed him deeper. The hand that was supporting
his weight was in the right position to stroke E'naer's hair whilst
his other hand was more adventurous, traveling down the greenrider's
well toned body before resting at the spot G'wen had been hoping was
more...ready, would that be the right word?... than it was. Well,
that wouldn't be a problem for long and besides, it had been almost a
candlemark since they last made love!

E'naer really wasn't up for second time. The first time had already
drained him out. Besides he had been running around whole day,
teaching weyrlings and pulling a half-shift in dragon infirmary (they
were bit short of staff, due the cold-season). What he really wanted
was seven candlemarks of undisturbed sleep.

When he got no response--not even a grunt--G'wen moved from kissing
the older man's face to moving slowly down his body, settling on the
spot where his hand had been just moments before. He glanced up at
E'naer's face to see if_that_got anything moving.

E'naer did groan, but not with pleasure. "Can't we just rest and
cuddle?" he asked.

At that the younger man sat up. "We've got all night for_that_! How
about you just lay back and I'll do all the work?" With a coy look,
he straddled E'naer's hips and sat atop him, and leaned down to kiss
him again.

"I had a hard day," E'naer replied.

G'wen sat up enough to look E'naer in the eye. "Well then this should
just relax you, right?"

"The first time already relaxed me," E'naer replied. He stroked
G'wen's cheek tenderly to take the sting out of his words. "I'm not
sixteen, I don't have your vigor."

"Don't I know.." G'wen muttered under his breath before sliding off
E'naer and lay, turned away from him. He felt thoroughly rejected.

E'naer snuggled closer to him, wrapping his arms around and resting
his head against his back.

The younger man tried to shrug off his embrace but E'naer was the much
bigger one. Instead, G'wen resorted to glaring at him. "You're not
the only tired one y'know."

"Fine then," E'naer said and pulled off his arms, turning to lay on
his back. He was too experienced to be offended.

What now? G'wen bit his lip and sat up. Sh'lua had warned him that
E'naer didn't like being pinned down and here he was, doing just that.
And could maybe the reason he wasn't up for a second time was he was
too tired from another lover? Letting his self doubts fill his head,
G'wen swung his legs off the bed and reached for his clothes, just
wanting to flee.

"You leaving? You don't want to cuddle?" E'naer asked, lifting his
upper body up from the mattress, leaning against an elbow.

Confused and hurt, G'wen turned to look at him. "What do
you want me to do?"

"Sleep next to me," E'naer said. He sighed inwards. He wasn't in a
mood to deal with temper tantrums right now. He was just tired. "Wake
up with me. And after refreshing night... who knows, there are some
very pleasant ways to wake up together," he lifted his eyebrows in
suggestive manner.

Feeling awkward, G'wen curled up next to him. He softly played with
the hairs on E'naer's arms before whispering, "I'm sorry."

"It's all right," E'naer said softly.

At that G'wen buried his head in E'naer's shoulder, feeling completely
contrite. The poor man worked hard and had so many demands on his
time, the last thing he needed was a needy lover. And now that he had
truly stopped, the boy could feel for the first time just how worn
down his own body was.

E'naer sighed with relief. At last, he could get some rest and not to
deal with adolescent moods. Although, the boy did feel too warm
against him. Some of his old
healer instinct was trying to send a warning. But he was just too tired
to pay attention.
