Zathris

Zathris finished the letter and put away the quill. Then he lifted hte
parchment to read over the words he had written upon it.

"Lord Corowal,

I write to you to make a request. As you know, my wife and I expect
our children to be born rather soon. I find myself concerned for her
and our children. It would bring me a measure of peace if you would be
willing to allow Master Miranek to come to Amber Hills and attend to my
wife until after the children are born. I thank you for your
consideration in this manner and hope to hear from you soon.

Once dried, the message was attached to one of his assistant stewards'
bronze firelizards. It was the first of two messages and possible
following answers that would be sent.

When the bronze firelizard appeared, he found Corowal working on his
desk. Seeing the strange firelizard and the attached messagetube, he
lured the bronze to him using the meat jerky he had in his office just
for these cases.
Reading the letter, he leaned backwards and thought it over. He didn't
have anything againt sending Miranek to Amber hills hold, but things
were rarely that simple. He didn't know what Miranek's situation was,
was he needed here more? He called a drudge and sent to Miranek. While
waiting the healer to arrive, he wrote a reply to Zathris.

"Lord Zathris,

I've no objections of borrowing master Miranek to you for few months.
However, I have to consult him first, to see if he can leave. I'll get
back to you soon in that regard.

With best regards, Corowal, Lord Holder, Emerald Falls hold."

Zathris read the letter as it came to him, using his free hand to
scritch the eyeridges of the faithful bronze. He nodded slowly, then
set about penning another letter in return.

"Lord Corowal,

I have taken the liberty of writing to Master Miranek as well, but of
course wanted to be sure such an arrangement was agreeable with you.
He may, as is proper, wish to consult with you before agreeing to my
request. I thank you for your willingness to allow us the use of his
knowledge and skill. Please let me know what is decided.

After his talk with master Miranek, Corowal finally sent his answer to
Zathris's second letter.

"Lord Zathris,

After consulting Master Mirenek, I'm happy to inform he will be arriving
to
Amber Hills hold as soon as we get it arranged. Please arrange a
transportation for him. Just remember to send him back to me after he's no
longer needed. Send my love to Corofel.

Lord of Emerald Falls Hold."
