"Well hello there, m'dear." M'pell smiled as he caught F'neb's eye
and sat down across from him, at the dinning hall table. "I heard you
tried to catch me and Kerth the other day." One hand absentmindedly
curled a blond lock around his finger as he gave the bluerider a coy
look.

"And?" F'neb said. "Ornigeth wanted to chase."

"And you didn't?" His other hand strayed to F'neb's and stoked it.

"I have a weyrmate." Okay - that wasn't totally it, at the time Ornigeth had
announced his intentions to fly, and just who it was he knew that right
there and then he wanted M'pell.

"Which is why there is a rumour going around that you went to a
certain green weyrling's weyr after you lost...and there were a lot of
loud noises coming out of it shortly after..." He winked and caressed
F'neb's hand. "Not that I can't say I wasn't making a lot of loud
noises myself at the time. So who was screaming louder, you or him?"
He watched F'neb out of the corner of his eye. He was_so_easy to
fluster.

"None of you sharding business," F'neb managed as he finally moved his hand
away. "Listening to gossip is never a good idea."

At that M'pell rolled his eyes. "Well then you need to go shag a boy
who doesn't have a gossip queen for a best friend...and lives right
next door." S'vin was always good for the lastest gossip. "Like
me..."

"Feck off," F'neb said, and got up with the aim of leaving. "Leave me alone
M'pell, I'm not in the mood."

"Not in the mood for what?" The willowy boy jumped up and slipped his
arm into F'neb's. "I could get you in the mood, if you know what I
mean," he whispered into the boy's ear.

"Could you?" F'neb said trying to disengage himself from M'pell. "You aren't
Sylvian."

"No, I'm better than Sylvian." He gave F'neb a look. "And you know
it. I can...." He whispered into F'neb's ear exactly what he wanted
to do to him.

"Really," the descriptive words were getting to his body at least, He could
feel the start of unmistakable stirrings that were quite a give away. "And
you've done that before?"

"Of course!" The boy leaned back to laugh at F'neb. "Just because I
look innocent doesn't mean I am." He waved a hand to indicate his
soft blond curls and large blue eyes and bow lips. "All you have to
say is you want me."

"Hmm...." F'neb tried to look thoughtful for a moment, and get himself under
a bit more control. "What about this?" he lowered his lips to M'pell's ear
and suggested a variation on the act in question.

"Only if you promise to let me wrap my legs over your shoulders why
you do it like that." Now that things were going his way, he subtly
led them in the direction of the Flight rooms.

F'neb let it happen, somehow, he knew even from the beginning... There was
something about M'pell, and his willingness to explore new things that he
just couldn't resist.

M'pell found a quiet room, something that was hard to do as they
weren't the only boys with the same idea in mind. The night after a
Threadfall tended to do that to the boys. He kissed F'neb and then
pushed him onto the bed. Giving him a slightly evil grin he straddled
his legs and sat on his hips, his hands caressing his chest. Giving
him a little pout, he said, "so why didn't you wait for me that other
day? I got stuck with that old fuddy duddy N'pern...I so wanted it to
be you."

"Next time let Kerth know that before she flies!" He reached out to place
his hands over M'pell's guiding them to places that could really work for
him.

He rolled his eyes at that, like he knew exactly when she was ready to
go up. When F'neb urged his hands, he let his mouth follow down to
that same spot. "I can't believe you went to miss prim and proper for
this..." He rolled his eyes again at his opinion of G'wen.
"You_know_I'm so much better..."

"Prove it," was all F'neb could say, enjoying the feeling of this man, here
and now who was with him. "Show me what you can do."

"So easy..." He leaned down and showed him all the new tricks he had
learned since they had last been together.

Some time later, F'neb came back to himself. "M'pell," he muttered "You've
been practicing."

Leaning in to cuddle up to F'neb's chest, M'pell giggled and softly
kissed his neck and jaw before placing his head with its soft curls
against the bluerider's shoulder. "Well, I found something I like and
am good at doing. That's all. This being a greenrider thing...if you
embrace it it feels really good. I can't believe how some boys fight
it all the way."

"Some need to learn, some already know," F'neb said, even as he reached to
hold the greenrider close.

"And some are just silly little fools." He looked up at F'neb.
"Speaking of fools, why'd you weyrmate to that girl, anyways?"

"She loves me," he said simply.

"She still going to after this?" M'pell knew Sylvian, they had grown
up together.

"Nobody says she has to find out."

"How'd you get out of telling her about the other day?"

"I had a drink or two afterwards, she thinks I went out to get drunk."

M'pell shook his head at that. "Y'know S'vin is a terrible gossip.
You don't think this'll get back to her at some point?"

"Don't you worry about Sylvian, I can deal with her."

The greenrider blink his eyes a bit. Did F'neb really just say
something so utterly foolish like that? How could he use this to his
advantage? G'wen was too innocent to plot how to get F'neb back, but
M'pell wasn't above a little blackmail. To his lover he merely
nodded.

"And I really should clean up and get back to her. I'd love to stay M'pell,
but, but I can't."

"Sure...we can't let her start to wonder, now can we?" Already M'pell
was plotting on how to make this work in his favour. Of course he'd
throw G'wen under the cart, if he could. Then he'd come along
and clean up the mess...and have F'neb all to himself.

"Next time Kerth rises," the bluerider said. "I'll be there."

"I'm sure you will. I'll make sure of it."
