Description: U'fouinn and R'yin deal with the aftermath of Amizth's flight
Location: River Bluff Weyr
Date: month 1, day 16 of Turn 6
His breathing was still erratic. His heartbeat still raced. U'fouinn basked
in the afterglow of Amizth flight. Nothing quite compared to such a joining
as the pleasure was increased by leaps and bounds as he shared it with his
magnificent lifemate. Amizth was rather pleased with herself and for the
moment so was U'fouinn.
As awareness began to dawn, U'fouinn realized they were not on the bed, but
rather sprawled on the floor, two bodies, slick with sweat pressed closely
together. His eyes moved, expecting to see the familiar face of his
weyrmate. Yet, what he saw was _not_ D'arvn! He felt his heart quicken. Ever
since that first flight when D'arvn had claimed him, to her last flight,
Amizth had always chosen Falzeth. Yet, not this time. He swallowed a bit
visibly, wondering how this encounter was going to go.
R'yin was slower still in waking. His first awareness was of a bit of
soreness. In places he wasn't usually sore, and a heavy feeling of
satisfaction but tinted with wanting something more, but different.
Nothing compared to winning a Flight, even though he was belatedly realizing
he had just slept with a man.
Aerrath was radiating pleased satisfaction. He had given the green a good
flight, and he was proud of that fact. It was hard not to radiate that
same feeling, and for the most part, he did. But there was the faint
feeling of disappointment, even a little regret, for it being a man.
Disgust had mostly gone away after the first few times Aerrath had flown
greens with male riders, but he had been raised in a Hold, and Aerrath and
he did not win many Flights. So, there was a bit of "this isn't _right_"
left in him. But he tried to hide it behind gentleness and politeness each
time.
He cracked an eye and moved a little bit away as his bedmate swallowed. He
must be nervous, R'yin thought. After all, he wasn't his weyrmate and he
would know that R'yin's tastes definitely did not run to men.
The brownrider disentangled gently, very gently, from the greenrider. He
did not want U'fouinn to think badly of him. "Hello, U'fouinn. Our
dragons are very pleased with themselves." It was a start, anyway. He
would not stay with the young greenrider, for certain, but he wanted to
leave politely, and on friendly terms.
He'd tensed the moment he felt the other man move. U'fouinn never knew what
to expect with flight winners. Most were at least courteous, but some had
been less so than others. When he spoke, U'fouinn finally turned and looked
at him. It took him a moment before recognition set in. "R'yin," he said by
way of greeting. A brownrider. U'fouinn knew what that likely meant.
"They are _very_ pleased." He shifted, grimacing a bit at the effects of the
flight now that the glow was wearing off. He was sore, yes, but it wasn't
unusual after a flight.

The soreness was already fading, to be replaced by the second urging of
leftover Flight lust. "It was a good flight, U'fouinn." He smiled at the
man, sitting up a little. "Thank you very much." R'yin was never sure to
hug, kiss, or shake hands with his male flight partners, so usually settled
for a light squeeze to a hand. "I don't think your weyrmate would
appreciate me staying too long.... and perhaps you want to return to him?"
He wasn't putting his clothes on yet, but he would be any moment.
"Yes, it was a good flight. Thank you, R'yin. Amizth is very pleased with
Aerrath." He was pleased that things seemed to be going pleasantly so far.
"Thank you, I would like to join D'arvn again, and I'm sure you have other
plans for yourself." U'fouinn shifted and reached for his own clothes that
were disregarded in the heat of the moment.
R'yin began to dress as well, glad to see it would be a pleasant leave
taking. At U'fouinn's words, he shrugged and a hint of sadness crept into
his eyes and his soft voice. "No, I have no weyrmate or lover to return to,
U'fouinn, but I will be fine. I will swim or do some work and I'll be
fine." His lips curved in a slow smile. "I do wish you joy with your own
weyrmate, though I think Aerrath will stay a bit." He chuckled and stood to
his fit, stretching out his well-used muscles.
"That's fine," U'fouinn replied, "Aerrath is most welcome, as Amizth will be
happy to have him." He slipped into his own clothes and reached a hand out
to give the other man a touch on the shoulder. "If you're ever _looking_ for
company, I know many lovely female greenriders." U'fouinn left it at that as
he picked up his boots and tunic.
R'yin laughed at that and got up to dress as well. "I'll remember that
U'fouinn. I often wish for company. "
