The brownrider had finished his food and drink and was searching for
the latrine before the music started. He had been staying close to G'nir,
making sure that the Weyrleader had what he needed. "This place is a
warren, for Faranth's sake." He hadn't been Weyrbred, but he had been
at the Weyr for a long while. Coming around a corner, he followed the
glows to a room he hoped was what he sought.
Lersa had been working in the kitchens and then serving all day. She
was becoming exhausted and still hadn't been able to get her own slice
of enjoyment out of the Turns End celebration. She had just gone to
the privy and was coming back out when she ran smack dab into a man
she didn't recognize. Glancing quickly at his shoulder knot she stammered.
"E-E-Excuse me sir."
"It's allright. I was just looking for the latrine." Either he found one soon or
he was just going to take care of business right there on the stone floor.
And then some poor drudge would have to clean the mess up.
At least he wasn't angry with her. She peeked up at him through her
lashes, his eyes were so dark and mysterious. She half smiled, "It's
right back there," she said pointing back down the hall the way she'd
just come.
"Thank you," he said before quickly disappearing. P'nal took his time but
when he finished his business, he came out into the corridor again, following
the glows.
She'd heard things about dragonriders but she didn't quite know how
much to believe. "Did you find everything alright?" she asked softly
from the shadows.
He almost jumped but caught himself. "I...yes I did. Thank you."
"Good." She smiled. "Need anything else?" she added with a tilt of her
head. She found herself wanting to touch his shaved head. All the men
she knew grew their hair as long as they could and she was fascinated.
He had been a man long enough not to mistake the note in her tone. He
had also been a man enough not to be able to walk away from it. "Aye,
what are you giving?" he said with a suggestive look.
She suddenly felt a little flushed and realized the impression she was
giving. She wasn't a loose woman by any means. The headwoman wouldn't
allow that behavior if she knew about it. But he was a dragonrider and
would be gone tomorrow. He wouldn't be following her around or trying
to trap her for a fondle so... She smiled and moved closer.
It wasn't exactly the smoothest move since it was mostly dark in the corridor,
but P'nal pulled her into his arms and kissed her heartily. He broke the contact
of their lips, long enough to ask her where they could go nearby.
"This way," she said breathlessly, grabbing his hand to pull him along
the darkened corridor and into a small room. They couldn't really see
well until she found the small glow and turned it. A narrow shelf with
linens lined one wall of the closet. "Again," she breathed with a
smile.
He went to work, submitting to her request without any fuss. The brownrider
was grateful for the opportunity. Holder women were different from Weyrfolk.
Not many had been there before, generally speaking.
It had been some time since her husband had gone and she'd forgotten
how good it could feel to have strong arms around her. The blood
rushed in her ears and her breath quickened with his demanding kisses.
Oh yes, she needed this more than she'd realized. She let her hands
roam, encouraging him.
He didn't need much encouraging, generally speaking. It wasn't long before
P'nal had the situation well in hand. He took it slower with her than he would
normally, but the brownrider was mindful of the celebrations going on and the
fact that someone could come in at any point. "Does that feel good?"
"Oh shards yes." She sighed. **What a way to start a new turn.** Her
hands moved up to caress that shaved head that had so fascinated her.
He enjoyed her attentions and it showed in his response. "There..."

Finished, P'nal let her slide down the wall as he pulled up his trews, lacing
them together quickly. He thought he heard noises outside. "Careful now," he
warned her.
She hurriedly stood and rearranged her skirts, patting her hair into place.
"How does that look?" she whispered.
He put a hand out to trap an errant bit back into place. "I think it's fine."
She smiled up at him. "Thanks," she said softly. "I'm Lersa, nice to
meet you." She bit her lips as a giggle threatened to bubble up. Then
she heard footsteps and sank back against the wall with a hand over
her mouth.
He stood there, waiting. When the footsteps passed, P'nal gave her a look
before escaping. He didn't want to get the girl into trouble. Even worse, he
didn't want people to think she was damaged goods.
Lersa watched him go and waited for a few moments. Her hands crept up
to her face realizing what she had just done. She took slow breaths
and finally pulled a stack of linens to begin making up some beds for
the guests. She turned the glow and opened the door to an empty
hallway. She moved quietly down the darkened hallway and took the
stairs toward the upper levels while the sounds of the party floated
after her.
