Even though she was out of line, Neath still flapped her wings, sending herself skyborn a few feet. When she landed, she hissed in annoyance at the bronze weyrling who had corrected her.

**Neath! Stop it!** G'wen put his hands on his hips, completely frustrated by her behavior.

}:Why? I'm bigger than him!:{ The large green did flip her wings back to her back, though.

}: And I'm even bigger than you are. Listen to your rider, ;{ Eillispeth intervened, towering over the young dragonette.

The young green turned to glare at the adult dragon. }:Yes, but one day I'll be bigger than_you_:{

At those words, G'wen wanted the ground to swallow him then and there. It had been going so well, what had happened? The drills in formation of nines had been flowing smoothly. Even Neath's mistake had only been a small one; several others had also been corrected by D'lan's little bronze. He glanced over at his friend, who was comforting his lifemate. Little Laneth was timid for a bronze.

}: Size is not everything. You will find yourself alone if you misbehave and don't follow order. He has every right to correct you, it's his duty as a bronze, :{ Eillispeth said, trying to get the message thru.

}:I wouldn't mind being alone:{ Neath retorted.

}: Yes, you would, when the time comes, :{ Eillispeth predicted omniously, although she didn't specify which time. In some level she knew Neath was too young to talk about Mating Flights with.

}:If's it's mating flights you're talking about, I know all about them. Onnyth told me.:{ the young green all but bragged. }:And even this midget over here,:{ and she nodded to poor Laneth, }:will want_me_!:{

Mortified, G'wen tried to look anywhere but at the two greens. He hoped to Fanarth that E'naer was nowhere close by.

}: You have to have grace and beauty to attract them, :{ Eillispeth said and fanned vainly her pale green wings }: Like I do, :{ she did consider herself a beauty among the green. She was indeed a beautiful green with the colour of spring's first leaves. She was medium sized and had typical built for a green. She did err on the side of vanity once and the while.

}:I have the beauty, and will have the grace. :{ Neath opened her wings, showing them to be bigger than average for her age. And she considered her colour quite unique amount the greens, which had a glow to it like the setting sun was always on her dispite her being much darker than Eiilispeth.

Eillispeth snorted loudly.

**What have we here? A bragging contest?** E'naer's tone was scolding. **Go check Ninerith, she's stumbling,** he asked and Eillispeth instantly turned her attention to an another dragonet.
He wasn't sure how the situation had started, being distracted with something else. "G'wen, how did those two end up having a beauty contest?" he asked the weyrling.

Neath sniffed once more at Eillispeth before nuzzling her rider, who was doing his best to shrink under the eye of E'naer. Not wanting to admit he heard anything of the two greens, he shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know." Maybe that would work.

E'naer didn't quite buy that, but since he wasn't sure how the situation had started, he let it drop.
"A little tip for the future. Dragons have very short memories, take advantage of it. If you get her distracted, she'll forget what the issue was."

"So, has Eillispeth forgotten all about it then?" Neath looked doubtful at that, but G'wen hated the thought of Eillispeth not liking them, as before he had his own green, she had been one of his favorites.

"Yes," E'naer nodded and glance his lifemate who was mothering another green dragonet now.

}: She's tired, :{ Eillispeth reported.

"Let's take a break!" E'naer declared. "Don't let your dragonets work to the point of over exhaustion!"

G'wen edged away from E'naer, hoping he wasn't about to be singled out for punishment. }:Why should we be? She started it:{

**Actually, Neath, you started it. But let's hope he's more worried about Deanth than us** Deanth was the tired little green, her lifemate--one of the former Holder boys who had been a bully--hovering over her, concern in his eyes.

E'naer just nodded at G'wen and moved to check the tired dragonet. Sometimes he just wished he had eyes on his back! He was pretty sure he had missed something.

G'wen let out the breath he found he was holding. Turning to Neath, he muttered, "that was a close call." **Next time, please just behave**

}:Only if I've done something wrong:{ was the green's smug reply.
