Tavia

U'kaiah sighed contentedly, a slight smile on his lips as he looked up
at his ceiling. Curling an arm under his head, he cast a glance over in
Tavia's direction. After the last couple candlemarks they'd had, he
should have had nothing very little on his mind. And yet, as he found
his breath again, a thought crept into his mind. **She'll meet Trae
tomorrow, no doubt. I wonder what Trae would say if she knew what we
just did...** Or would she even care?

His brow knit slightly, wanting so badly to ask the questions that were
on his mind. How did Trae look? Did she look happy? Did she look in
love? Did she ever look like she was lost in a memory for a moment?
Did she ever speak of him? Did she ever think of him? Did she ever,
for even a moment, miss him as much as he had missed her?

Of course there was no way for Tavia to know the answers to those
questions, and he had no business asking them. A part of him did hope,
though, that somehow she would find out. It brought a slight smile of
satisfaction to his lips.

Looking back at Tavia, he resolved to push all thoughts of her out of
his mind. Why think of Trae when he had such a fun and willing partner
laying beside him? "How much longer do we have, do you think?"

She rolled over closer to him on her stomach and propped herself up on
her elbows. "Another candlemark and I have to start a shift in the
infirmary. I'll need to get going soon." she said with a smile. "This
was fun." she said lightly. She wasn't one for entanglements and had
been lucky at retaining her heart for most of her life. Unlike those
around her who were so often in love it was sickening, she just had
her fun and left them wanting more. It was the advantage of her
forgettable face. She just faded into the background when she felt
like it. **Wouldn't mind seeing him again** she thought. Providing of
course there weren't complications. She had no idea what her own
Wingleader would think if she were to find out.

He reached out to run the back of a finger along the soft skin on her
back. "Shards, if I had known you still had work to do today, I would
have taken it a little easier on you."

She smiled into his eyes. "And if I'd wanted it easier I'd have said
something" She wasn't exactly lacking in partners but he'd shown her a
very nice time. "Besides a little discomfort is like a reminder of
good exercise, it builds muscle memory and makes you better at the
task." She stroked her fingers through the fine hairs on his chest.
"You're a talented man."

Tavia was proving very good for his ego! "Well, I thought bronzeriders
were supposed to be known for their stamina. I think you're putting me
to shame! You can bet I'm getting nothing else done for the rest of the
evening."

She laughed as she levered herself up to her hands and knees. Then she
planted a light kiss on his lips."I think you're confusing yourself
with your dragon." she grinned down at him. "You should build your
strength if you're going to beat me at Water-ball." Then she scooted
to the edge of the bed to find her clothes.

"Hey," he said, sitting up to wrap his arms around her waist and pull
her back. "You can insult my stamina in the bed, you can insult my
stamina in the sky, but never, ever, insult my waterball playing."
U'kaiah's long, harper trained fingers danced along her sides as
punishment.

Tavia squealed in surprise and then her whole body tensed and she
wiggled laughing trying to get away from the tickle torture. "Unfair"
she gasped.

"Hey, as long as you don't get hurt and don't drown, _anything's_ fair
in waterball. Even sleeping with the enemy." His touch turned from
tickle to caress as his lips grazed her ear. "So why don't you tell me
all your secrets..."

She shivered with the sudden change as his lips took an unfair
advantage of one of her most sensitive spots. "Impossible man!" she
declared. "So we finally see why you lured me here... all the rest was
a simple ploy to steal water-ball secrets." then her eyes narrowed.
"besides sleeping with the enemy requires actual _sleeping_ and we
haven't done any of that."

"I didn't lure you here for secrets, I lured you here for sex. The
secrets would just be a bonus." Oh if only they had a bit more time...
All the wonderful ways he could think of to try to convince her played
through his mind. "You know, I think I _do_ have a bit more stamina
than I thought."

Her eyes widened "I seems you do indeed" she said as the evidence
presented itself. Her teasing smile turned sultry and she responded
pulling closer. "I am going to be so late..." she whispered just
before she kissed him.
