}: Sirjath rises, :{ Zackariath informed his rider, his eyes swirling
with the color of lust.

**Oh, no. We are NOT going to chase her! ** U'das responded vehemently
and started quickly to put on his flight gear.

}: Why? I like her, I want her :{ the bronze demanded.

** Because Uetia is my niece, for the Egg's sake! ** U'das put all his
authority to that answer, using all his mental strength to
control the lusty bronze. Zack snarled when he took the flight
straps from the hook and started to attach them to him.

** Don't try to fight me, Zack. This is the same thing as with
Amizth's mating flights,** U'das said. He got the straps on despite
the bronze's resistance.

He got Zack into the air. They flew over the feeding grounds, and he
spotted the green and the males gathering around her. She did
look beautiful and shining. He gave Zack the visualization. The bronze
kept grumbling protests all the way until the landed on Far Island
Weyr, then he forgot the whole thing.

"Dad! What brings you here?" he was greeted with familiar voice and
familiar figure when the bronze landed.

"Uetia's Sirjath rises, so I had to take Zack away," U'das grinned at
his daughter.

"Nice to hear that, it's 'bout time. I'll fetch the girls, they'll be
happy to have a surprise visit from granddad."

Uetia leaned against the feeding ground's fence and watched as her
beautiful green devoured herdbeast and trumpeted challengingly to the
males.
It was the day she had waited and feared. She glanced at the men
gathering around her.
They really didn't want her. She was too big, too muscular, too ugly.
She bit her lip and reminded herself not to let her own emotions
disturb Sirjath. This was her moment, and she just had go along with
it.

:}Sirjath is going to rise.:{ Latarth announced to his rider.

B'lamick looked up from the straps he had been focusing on cleaning.
The name didn't sound familiar so it could only mean one thing. **Do
you want to chase her?**

The bronze rumbled deep in his chest. }:She is a beautiful green. I
will fly her well.:{

"Okay then." B'lamick replied hesitantly as he set the straps down
and stood up. "Take me down there then."

}:I chase:{ was all Leith needed to say. The blue watched the green
from his vantage point high on the Weyr Rim. His muscles tensed and his
wings spread in anticipation of what was coming.

Walking across the Weyrbowl, E'rae saw the green through Leith's eyes.
And then he saw her rider via his own. It wasn't too much longer before
the older rider arrived on the scene. To him, a flight was a flight and he
wouldn't begrudge Leith the glory of the chase.

Sebeth had just finished a bath when he alerted his rider that he
wanted to chase. K'mai looked down at the very tiny swim shorts he was
wearing. **Well, that's convenient.** There would be hardly anything
to take off after the flight was over. He didn't have far to go,
either, although he had Sebeth take him on the quick glide over to the
green's rider.

Sirjath decided it wasn't the food she wanted, and took the air
without further warning. Uetia was started with her sudden take off.
She was trying to fight off the lust from Sirjath, but was losing it.

B'lamick spied the girl and sighed with relief as Latarth shot into
the air after the green. If he was going be with this person, he'd
much rather it be a girl than a boy, even if it was going to be
hollow. The determination and lust he was feeling from Latarth
conflicted with his own mind's repulsion at being with a stranger. He
wanted her, but he didn't. Confusion heavy in his thoughts, he tried to
make himself relax as he felt himself being drawn towards the greenrider.

K'mai had no conflict with his dragon. He and Sebeth were of the same
mind as the blue flew after the green. He did notice that the rider
was very tall for a woman, and broad shouldered ... really rather
masculine. But that didn't bother him at all.

Finding a good tailwind from the ocean, Sirjath headed for inlands.
She darted this way and that way, toying with the chasers.

Sebeth called promises to the green as he turned and twisted after
her. He moved easily ahead of the larger, slower males and came near
the front of the chasing pack. Other blues shared the space around
him, showing the advantage of their smaller size.

Latarth pushed his wings to move fast enough to keep up with the
greens maneauvers. He couldn't twist and turn as tightly as she could
so every time he was a little wide, a little slow. He kept up though
in the straights, soon she would tire enough, make a mistake, and he
would be able to catch her. The bronze felt his rider's hesitation
and it unsettled him. He knew a flight was a good thing, it would
make them both feel good, but he also knew his rider didn't want it.

The first chasers were already dropping out, tired by the swift green.
Sirjath felt wonderful. Her larger-than-usual wings made her strong in
the air.
On the ground, Uetia had long since lost the sight of the chase. She
had also lost her consicous mind. She _was_ her dragon.

A thermal caught Sebeth just right, and he took full advantage of the
situation. He twined necks with the green and trumpeted his success to
the Weyr.
