Marza reached forward to pat Creaith's strong neck as they winged
their way down from the lip of the bowl. This threadfall seemed to
take forever, and it was definitely not some of their better flying.
}: I am hungry and I hurt. :{ the little green tilted slightly as
she tightened her downward spiral.

** I know, let's get your tail looked at first. ** Marza leaned
forward to hug her dragon's neck. She sighed to herself, trying to
keep her thoughts carefully guarded. They should have timed that
better. Coming out of *between* into a patch of thread was a weyrling
mistake. She was just lucky that only Creaith's tail was caught and
the scoring wasn't very bad.

They landed in the bowl near to where the dragonhealers were tending
the wounded. This wasn't a particularly challenging fall, so Marza
was able to get some numbweed for Creaith fairly quickly. The green
whistled in relief as the painkiller took effect. She twisted around
to inspect her tail and snorted in appreciation. This wasn't her
first scoring, and it probably wouldn't be her last, but it was good
to make the pain go away. The healer clucked at her for letting her
dragon get scored, but eventually declared that Creaith was not badly
hurt and could continue flying.

Marza suppressed an amused chuckle, ** I knew that. ** Aloud, she
thanked the healer for his concern.

}: Can we eat now? :{ Creaith looked nudged her rider gently with her nose.

Marza chuckled, Creaith was always hungry after fall. For that
matter, so was she. ** Let's head over to the feeding grounds. **
She swiftly climbed back on the green's back, leaving her helmet
hanging at her belt.

The feeding grounds were a popular place, as they often were after a
fall. Dropping Marza off quickly, Creaith swooped in to grab a small
herdbeast.

** You are hungry! ** Marza commented as she watched Creaith tear into
the meal. She chuckled, as the only response was the feeling of
contentedness.

Someone had thought to send out a drudge with warm drinks and some
sort of pastry that was welcome in the late evening. Over on one
side, a young girl played with an active feline and some sort of
string toy. Marza's gaze drifted back to her dragon as she munched on
the pastry. She sat down near the side of the feeding grounds and
smiled.

** This is home ** Creaith lifted her head from the herdbeast and
bugled in agreement.
