Description: Fieayz tries to say goodbye to her past...
Location: Garnet Valley Hold
Date: month 2, day 19 of Turn 5
Fieayz drummed her fingers against the bench she sat on as she waited.
Hopefully Kiomo had got her note asking him to come and see her. If
nothing else, he deserved a good bye in person. Alrog was her future,
and her past, well that had to be the past.
Kiomo had indeed received her invitation, and had cleared his schedule
accordingly. He would certainly miss this young lady. She had been a
perfect lover - experienced, open to new ideas, and most of all, she had
ever reason to keep it descrete as he had! He wondered if she could
really give up that lifestyle, even for love? Shards he hoped not.
Love was incredibly annoying. It tended to get in his way more than
help him, he had found! "You Fieayz. Fancy meeting you here."
"Strange that," she said sliding a little down the bench to make room
for him. "I was just thinking that myself."
"Tell me now, Fieayz. Is this really goodbye?" he asked, eyes wide and
innocent.
"It has to be, for now at least." She said after a moment. "Alrog, he
doesn't deserve someone who would cheat on him, he's too good a person."
She certainly hadn't exactly seemed to have discounted any future
meetings between them with her first statement, which encouraged the
Holder.
"Well, it's not like it's _love_. It's not as though I would pose any
threat to his claim to
you."
"I love him though, and..." She paused to gather her words. "This has to
stop, _we_ have to stop."
Kiomo chuckled softly, shaking his head. "I don't mind if you _want_ to
stop, Fieayz. But you don't _have_ to do anything. I think you spent
enough time in the Weyr to know that. I know Alrog does not understand
the life you have been living, and that you wouldn't want him to ever
know about the time you've spent with me and others. I'm sure you'll
play a good virgin with the night comes. But you're _not_ one, are
you."
"You know that. And you're right, he can't know. And much as I've
enjoyed this time we've had together, I think it's come to a natural
end." Fieayz looked up catching Kiomo's eyes. "Kiomo, it was fun, don't
ever forget that."
She seemed so earnest, Kiomo thought, amused. She was acting like this
was supposed to break his heart! "I won't. And I know you'll want to
play the perfect little wife for a while, and you should. You should
enjoy the moment. But someday, when the new shine has worn off a bit
and you just need to recapture that feeling of excitement, well... You
know you where I'll be. That's all I'm trying to say."
"I do know," she said. "I, I don't suppose a good bye kiss is out of the
question?"
Seriously? Just a kiss? Was she kidding? "Well, you're not married
yet. I think you can have whatever you want. After all, as you say, it
has been a whole lot of fun."
"Just a kiss," she said.
That was rather pathetic. He must have been losing his touch! "Then, I
suppose we'd better make this one kiss really count."
"I know you can," she said moving closer to him.
He gently tilted her face towards his, first lightly brushing his lips
against hers almost teasingly before kissing her full on. Kiomo had a
lot of experience kissing this young woman, and he wanted to use all the
knowledge he had gained over that time to convince her that one kiss was
definitely not enough. _Especially_ concidering she wasn't even married
yet!
She couldn't help but respond. There was just something about Kiomo that
tantalised and teased her into wanting more. Her head told her to stop,
that Alrog was her future, but her heart... right now, she wanted
nothing more than to keep kissing Kiomo.
