Alrog was jittery and nervous, like any young groom, when he stopped
in front of the Harper. Lapis Lazul crooned on his shoulder, the
firelizard's weight feeling oddly comforting.

"Good Luck!" said Jielta to her sister as Fieayz ran a hand over her hair to
check it was in place. "Are you ready?"

"Yes," came the reply as the young woman smiled at her sister. "It's a shame
Papa couldn't be here, but you are, and Mama and Miyon are here."

"And Alrog," teased Jielta.

"It is important he's here. Shall we?"

Jielta watched as her sister walked down to stand next to the man she had
chosen to spend the rest of her life with. He seemed good for her.

Alrog gave her a nervous smile. "You look stunningly beautiful," he
whispered.

"You don't look so bad yourself," she whispered back, managing a smile
herself before turning her attention to the Harper.

"Welcome to everyone," began Carlan. "Today we are here to celebrate the
marriage of Alrog and Fieayz. They have chosen to spend their lives
together, because they see a future that can only get better when they are
together."

Fieayz tuned out the words for a moment as she watched Alrog, he really did
look good in his wedding outfit, and she smiled at him again, waiting for
him to take his part in the ceremony.

"Alrog, I believe you have in your posession a mark. Take it, and offer it
to Fieayz and tell her why you want to marry her, and what you will do to
care for her."

Alrog took out the mark from his pocket. And then he realized he had
forgotten what he was supposed to say. "Ah, craps," he said and heard
a gasp from audience, his mother's most likely. "I had this whole
fancy speech memorized but I can't remember a word of it. It had fancy
words like honor, duty and providing."
He looked in to his betrothes eyes. "Fieayz, in you I've found a
companion, someone who makes me laugh, makes me forget that I'm
responsible for the well-being of 120 people, someone who understands
me. I want you to stand with me and let me show why I love Iron Lake
as much I do.
Fieayz, will you be my mate, my companion, my distraction?"
It was not what he had planned to say, but it did come from his heart.
"Oh, yes, and I promise to care and provide for you and all our future
children and the other stuff like that." That was from the original
speech.

Carlan nodded to Fieayz, "If you find his words pleasing, take the mark, and
in doing so, tell him why."

Fieayz took the mark. "Alrog, I like those words you just said better,
because they showed what you are thinking and feeling, not what you thought
you should say." She paused for a moment, gathering herself, "I had things
planned to say to you too, about standing by you no matter what, and being
there for you, to raise our children together. But what is more important is
that I love you and we have a future with each other together, and we're
letting everyone here know that today."

Alrog's knees felt weak and at that moment, he was completely and
totally hers. "Oh, Fieayz, I love you," he whispered.

Carlan couldn't help but smile as he saw the look on their faces. "You have
made your promises to each other that you will stand by each other and love
each other. You have also exchanged a mark symbolising this. And as such, it
is my great pleasure to say that you are now married. Congratulations!"

Alrog was trembling when he gave his newly wed wife the traditional kiss.

Fieayz couldn't help but throw her arms around her new husband. and that was
such a wonderful word, husband. He was hers, and she was his, and she
intended to show him that tonight. "Later," she whispered when the kiss
broke. "I'll show you how much I've been waiting for this."

Alrog just nodded, but happiness shone for his eyes. They turned to
face the audience and receive the congratulations.

"You look so happy," Jielta came up to her sister. "I'm happy for you both."

Alrog's mother followed her to give them both a hug. "Welcome to the
family," she said to Fieayz.

"Thank you," said Fieayz returning the hug. "I am so glad to be here."

Alrog sister's followed and then the key people from the hold. Alrog
introduced them briefly to his wife, but he was pretty sure she
wouldn't be able to remember them all. He knew he wouldn't.

"This has been an amazing day so far," Fieayz told her new husband, slipping
her arm into his.

"It is," Alrog agreed. "I like to show you a something," he said with
mysterious voice and pulled her away from the crowd, from the
festitivities.

She followed, wondering what it was.

Alrog led her upstairs, where the living quarters were. He threw open
a door to a bedroom. It was large room, with three doors besides the
entrance and window with Thread shutter. It was also a barchelor's
room, containing just a large bed, small table and lazy chair. Only
decorations were old, faded tapestry on the wall and feline skin on
the chair. A small, wrapped package was placed on the bed. "This will
be our bedroom. You're free to decorate it, as you see, it's rather
utilitarian."

"We can worry about the decoration later," she said. "Is that for me?" she
asked, spotting the package.

"Yes, it is. But before I let you open it, I'll show you the rest.
That is my dressing room," he pointed a door on left. "That will be
your dressing room, it's currently empty," he went to open the door
opposite of his dressing room. "I didn't know what you like, so I left
the furnishing to you," he explained. He pulled her along to the third
door. "This is one of the perks in living in Iron Lake hold." Behind
the door was bath room, with large pool in middle. Steam rose from the
water, indicating that it sprung from natural warm spring.

"We'll have to try that later," she said, a grin on her face. "You can scrub
my back."

"Yes," Alrog replied and swallowed, he could imagine all kind of
possibilities for the pool.

"Can I open that package now?"

"Yes, you can," Alrog replied with a smile.

Fieayz sat on the bed, picking up the package and slowly unwrapping it. "Oh
Alrog, they are beautiful," she said as she uncovered the necklace with it's
gems, and the bracelet and earrings that went with it. "Can you help me put
them on now?"

"I'm glad you like them," he replied and took the necklace, helping to
close the lock at the back her neck. He couldn't resist stroking the
exposed skin.

She shivered in anticipation. "I'll have to say thank you properly," she
said standing up and coming close, lifting her head so her lips could meet
his.

Alrog found himself answering the kiss with passion. His hands wrapped
around her body and he could feel the heat radiating from her body.

"Later," Fieayz told him, Even as her arms had gone around him, wanting to
feel him close to her. "We'll have all the time we need."

"Yeah. We better go downstairs to join the festivities, before they
start looking for us," Alrog replied.

"I think they might give us a little longer," she teased. "Time for another
kiss at least?"

"Your wish is my command, my lovely wife," Alrog replied and did just that.

Now that was more like it, she thought. It would be worth waiting for later
on, when they could really sneak away for a lot more than just a kiss.
