After Corowal had said good night to all his children, he just stood there, watched Erassa's doings and tried to decide if he should take a cup of klah or not. Probably not, or he couldn't sleep at night. Then he would have to call one the drudges. He really wanted to be more discreet than that, with wedding coming up and all.
She could feel his eyes on her as she washed the dinner dishes. Erassa couldn't help looking over her shoulder and flushed as their eyes met. Quickly she turned her eyes back to what she was doing. "Did you want something, sir?"
"I don't know. I'm just pondering about that," Corowal replied. He couldn't help but have a memory of her naked body flash before his eyes.
She glanced back over at him. The way he was undressing her with his eyes was obvious. Erassa could feel a chill run up her spine. **You wanted him to look at you...** she silently reminded herself as she took a deep breath to calm herself. So he was interested. He was supposed to be. But how far would she have to go to _keep_ him interested? She reached for a cloth to wipe down the table, leaning over it as she reached for the center, studying the woodgrain as she gave him a good view of her cleavage peeking over her neckline. Erassa was dressed modestly, but she knew that wouldn't matter. It just left more to the imagination.
Shards, she was firing him up!
"I could make you some klah or tea if you like," she said nonchalantly, moving closer as she wiped the table in front of him.
"And then I'll be bouncing around the walls whole night. Maybe not a good idea," Corowal replied.
"Warm milk and rum? That's what my father used to drink when he couldn't sleep." She folded the towel and set it on the counter, sure that he was still watching her even though she turned her back to him. Pulling her apron off of it's peg she tied it snugly around her, smoothing it down over her hips, feeling every bit the slut she was acting like.
"That sounds like a good idea," Corowal said.
She poured a bit of milk into a pan and began gently stirring it over the gentle heat. "Have you and your fiance decided what you will do about my position yet?"
"No, we haven't. Been too busy," Corowal said.
"I see." Shards, she hoped he wouldn't drag it out much longer. How far would she have to go to convince him to keep her on? And what if despite her most extreme efforts he chose not to retain her. If she gave herself into him fully she knew it would probably blow up in her face. Why keep her on for a convenient lay when he had a wife to fill that roll. No, she had to be careful and give him as little as possible, both for her security and her sanity.
Corowal moved closer to her, letting his hand brush against her arm. "I haven't drunk warm mild since I was a child," he remarked casually.
She resisted the urge to pull back from him, pretending that it had been an accidental touch that she barely noticed. "Hopefully you weren't given warm milk with rum in it too often when you were child."
"No, it was served without the rum," Corowal laughed. Shards, he just wanted to wrap his arm around her waist and kiss her!
She looked over at him and offered him a shy smile, letting her eyes meet his for the briefest of moments before turning off the heat and moving over to the cupboard that held the rum. Erassa kept it up high to be sure the children could not get into it. Problem was, she found even as she stretched even she couldn't reach it without pulling out a chair. "I'm sorry, could you reach that for me?"
"Of course," Corowal answered. Naturally, of course, he had to move right next to her to get the rum bottle, so their sides touched. He had very hard time to keeps his hands where they belonged, when he handed her the bottle.
"Thank you," she said simply as she slipped past him to grab a mug off of the shelf she could easily reach. Splashing a little bit of the rum into the bottom she stirred in the steaming milk and handed it to him carefully. "Take it by the handle. It's hot."
"Thanks," Corowal said when he took the mug. He sipped it carefully. "This is actually quite good."
She gave him another small smile, not meeting his eyes. "If there's nothing else, I think I will go to my room now." And dive into her bathing chamber and try to scrub the dirty feeling off of her, though she knew no amount of sweetsand could wash a stain off her soul.
