Description: Eridhya's green rises, and this time M'galec is the winner.
Location: River Bluff Weyr
Date: month 1, day 21 of Turn 5
Avesith had the worst possible timing. Eridhiya had been in the bath
when the green had awoken full of bluster and fury. In no time she was
leaping off the ledge and calling out a challenge to the males of the
Weyr. Eri had had time only to pull on a robe, tie it around her, and
then hurry down her steps to the flight weyrs. Already a circle of
riders had gathered- but she didn't see M'galec among them yet.
Dwarkanath had joined the flight, though, and Eri had rejoiced. Avesith
was taunting all the males, but Eri concentrated on sending her
preference through the link. And when the green tired out, she called
}:Dwarkanath, I choose you as mine.:{ and rolled herself to the bronze.
As his bronze bugeled his triumph, M'galec reached for the woman with
his unsplintered arm and crushed her against his bandaged chest,
claiming her lips in a deep and passionate kiss as he pushed her through
the door, leaving the losers to find consolation elsewhere. The splint
grew frustrating as he tried to open the ties to her robe, and with only
one eye to see out of, he couldn't find them anyway. It didn't matter.
He didn't need to see or feel her naked. He had imagined it all before
and they were both ready to skip the pleasantries as they pulled each
other to the bed and gave into the dragon's lust as well as their own
for each other.
It wasn't until the bronzerider felt some stirring beside him a good
candlemark later that M'galec finally opened his eye. "Eri?"
"Mmm." She moved a hand over to caress him gently but didn't open her
eyes. "It is you, isn't it? It wasn't a dream?" She hoped not, anyways.
Waking up with M'galec after a flight was the best possible outcome.
"Yes," he murmured, covering her hand gently with his hand. His fingers
were trying to curl around hers, but there was a long wooden stick
stabalizing his arm and extending to his palm which limited their
movement.
She rolled over and smiled, opening her eyes...and then pausing in
surprise. "I hope you didn't get in a serious accident." she told him,
smile fading. "What happened?"
"Oh, the bandages?" he asked, guiltily pleased at the concern written
across her face. He supposed he did look a fright - arm in a splint,
head wrapped, ribs bound... "It was a first aid refresher course for
the Weyrling Staff. It was my turn to be the victim. Thank Faranth
they hadn't put the sling on me yet or that would have proved even more
frustrating."
She couldn't help but chuckle at the image. "I am glad you're not hurt."
she told him seriously, placing a gentle kiss on an unbandaged part of
his face. "But you did rather well for being so restrained, I didn't
notice." Of course, in a flight did either notice much of anything?
"I do have nibble fingers," he said with a humble shrug. "As a surgeon
must."
"I'm fairly sure that the course is going fine without you, so we could
always remove those." she suggested. Ordinarily it would have taken much
for her to make that sort of insinuation, but now it slipped out of her
mouth effortlessly. She knew it must be the flight still affecting her
inhibitions, but right now, she didn't care.
"I would very much like that," he said quietly, his eye traveling down
the line of the robe that was still tied around her body, though
noticable disheveled. "And then perhaps... we could work on your
bindings?"
She nodded. "Those will much much easier, I think." she said before
starting to deftly undo the binding of his arm. One of the advantages of
knowing how they were done was ease in undoing them.
"You have very gentle hands," he murmured softly as he watched her work.
It was obvious she had not forgotten how to care for the human body,
even after spending so many turns tending to dragons.
"They come in handy for work, among other things." It was why she was so
good at the harder repairs like wings. She reached up for the bandages
on his face. "Just let me take these off too."
His eye lowered as he bowed his head, giving her better access to his
head bandages. Shards but she had an incredible body, he thought as
again his gaze followed the openning of her robe, the movement of his
arms giving him little tantalizing peeks as to what lay beneath. Almost
of their own volition his fingers wrapped around her hips, holding onto
her as she worked. "I am truly happy Dwarkanath won at last, Eri.
Truly happy."
"So am I." she said, arching her hips towards his hands. "I am as well,"
she told him. She'd hoped they'd eventually wind up like this, and
suddenly the fact that this was a flight didn't feel bad anymore. "This
has been the best flight." she added as she freed his face from the
bandages. Cupping it in hers, she kissed him deeply, rejoicing in being
here.
