Pellinne hummed happily to herself as she organized the weyr, glad to have something to do to occupy her time. None of her friends could hang out and she hated being by herself with nothing to do. **There's nothing worse than being bored.** Pell thought, then laughingly reconsidered. **Okay, well maybe a few things. But not many.**
}: Yes, natural disasters are so much less inconvenient than people not rearranging their schedules to suit yours, :{ rumbled the green currently lounging on the weyrledge.
"Oh shut up," Pellinne retorted but the sting was lost in her laughter. "I suppose you're right. And at least I _do_ have something to do." She'd managed to make sure all of her clothes were neatly folded instead of scattered everywhere and that what few belongings she did have were put away neatly. She could be a bit of a slob but on the upside, these organizing moods hit with a regular enough frequency that it never got _too_ out of hand.
}: Oh look, a pest come to bother us,:{ despite her words, Avasaryth looked up curiously as a flitter squeaked, making his presence known.
Pellinne frowned. She didn't know why a flitter had a note for her, but he did look familiar. Holding out her hand, he settled into it and Pellinne took the note from his dainty little claws. Unrolling it, she read it quickly, squeaked and nearly danced in happiness. "Taleera's here!" It seemed her sister Taleera was here, her husband Rohlan had business at the Weyr and had taken his wife with him. What his business was, Tally hadn't said but Pell couldn't wait to see her. Scribbling back a reply to meet her outside, the greenrider sent the flitter back on his way and looked at her green. "Well, you going to get off your lazy behind or what?"
}: Yay, I get to ferry you down there and get mauled by small children,:{ Avasaryth grumbled, but Pellinne knew better. While her dragon didn't love with her rider's nieces and nephews like Pell did, she didn't truly mind them either. A short few moments later, Avasaryth was churning up the sand with her wings as she gently landed outside the cliffs, forcing the couple waiting there to shield their eyes.
Sliding down the green's side, Pellinne greeted her sister with a warm hug. "Tally! It's so good to see you again!" Turning, she hugged her brother-in-law. "And you too, Rohlan. What business brings you here?"
"Family business, happily enough," the tall Harper replied. "I'm glad Taleera will have time to visit as well. Unfortunately, we didn't bring the kids along, but we'll tell them you said hi."
"And that I miss them," Pell prompted with a grin. She visited her family whenever she got the chance. Her grandparents sure never liked the blatant reminder that she hadn't wanted what they had, but her parents and siblings were always happy to see her, so she tried not to care. Strange how people could hold onto grudges for so many Turns.
"I'll pass it along," Rohlan replied with a laugh. "They're staying with Napella for the afternoon while we visit. I've got to head on, so I'll let you girls chat and send for Tally when it's time for us to leave." With a wave, he walked off and Pellinne linked arms with her sister.
"We can grab a drink in the dining cavern and chat there. How has everyone been?" Pell asked.
"Wonderful. The kids are all doing well, getting bigger every day." Taleera paused, trying to think of what news her sister might not have heard. "Nalare just got engaged, to a young holder. A good catch, from what I hear."
Pell grinned. "Well give her my congratulations, I'd love to be there for the wedding if I can."
Taleera nodded. "I'll let her know, I'm sure she'd love to have you there." Pellinne had always seemed like a better older sister than she had, always there as a shoulder to cry on or a friend to laugh with. Not that she felt any jealousy for it, Pell had just always been the best confidante, for all of them. "How's life here been? Any interesting men?" She added with a teasing grin.
Pellinne gave a heavy mock sigh. "Unfortunately, no. Not anyone interesting at any rate."
Taleera laughed. "You've always been a picky girl, Pell."
Pellinne snorted. "Is it my fault that I have standards? I want to at least _want_ to share a bed with them-" she caught her sister's face turning bright red and laughed. "Oh c'mon, that wasn't even that bad. But I also require intelligence, a sense of humor and that he be fun. That's it. That's not so high is it?"
Taleera returned the laugh. "I think your singleness speaks for itself. It isn't as if you're ugly. Just picky," she teased. Even as a young girl, her sister had always been more interested in making friends out of guys than anything else. "But at least that means you probably won't end up with a jerk. Liera had enough problems with that one," she snorted, remembering all the losers her other sister had managed to find interesting.
Pellinne laughed. "Yes, thank Faranth I've never had too much of a problem with that one." Shaking her head, she grinned as she continued chatting. Faranth, it felt so _good_ to see Taleera again. She and Tally had always been close and nothing was more fun than chatting with her for candlemarks. Finding a seat for her sister in the dining hall, she grabbed them drinks and settled in for a long overdue chat.
