Corowal was starting to feel like he lived at the Hold's infirmary. He was again there with his child to see master Miranek. This time it was Ofewal. The boy had gotten cold few sevendays ago and since then he had had a cough. Corowal was worried it might have turned into bronchitis. It wouldn't be first time for Ofewal.
"Do I get a bonus for a regular visits?" Corowal joked when the entered the master's reception room.
"That depends milord," joked the Healer in return. "With all the reasons that people could visit me, the bonus reason changes daily."
"This time it's persistent cough," Corowal said and ushered Ofewal forwards.
"Let's have a look at you," Miranek gestured for the lad to come closer.
Ofewal came and already pulled off his shirt with the kind of resigned patience only one who has met way too many healer's could have. "I can't sleep because of the cough," he told the master. Even his voice sounded bit rough.
"Is it just coughing? Are you sneezing as well?" asked the Healer as he reached for a stethoscope to listen to the boy's chest.
"Not as much as in beginning," Ofewal replied and shivered a bit when the cold metal touched his chest.
"And what about when you breathe? Do you feel that your nose is blocked up?"
"Yes, it does," the boy replied.
"Does it hurt here?" The Healer gestured along his cheekbones, and across the top of his nose. "Any headaches?"
"No, but coughing hurts my chest," Ofewal replied with a shook of his head.
"Well young man, I think your cold has gone to your chest. I'm going to give you some medicine that you'll need to take three times a day."
Ofewal just nodded.
"That's what I thought too," Corowal murmured quietly.
"It might make you feel a bit sleepy, but don't worry if it does. I want you to come back in three days time, and we'll see how you go."
"Okay," the boy nodded.
"Thank you, Miranek," Corowal said. "I'm glad this hold has a healer of your caliber."
"You're welcome milord."
"Well, we'll be seeing you later," Corowal said.
"Remember, three days," said the healer to the boy.
"Yes, sirree," the boy replied. Like he would forget.
