After dismounting from Leith and removing his straps, E'rae needed something to eat.
The bluerider had worked hard during drills and he was sweaty. Wiping off his forehead, he strode inside to the Lower Caverns, nodding to people he recognized. Such a standoffish figure, he kept his own company usually but there were a few that he tolerated. Spotting the seacrafter, he gathered his food, then sat down near him. He nodded to Tamah then began to organize his food. "Good day, Journeyman."
The Harbour Master nodded. "Good day, E'rae. Did you have hard drills?"
"Aye well..normal, though it was certainly sunny today so I'm looking forward to that bath."
He pulled up a sleeve to smell himself and wrinkled his nose. "So what's the latest news?"
Digging into his tubers, he popped one into his mouth.
"Monsoon Racer is running late and we have one ship pulled to shore for hull repairs. It's been rather quiet in the harbour," Tamah replied.
After he finished chewing and swallowed, E'rae stopped nodding his head. "Aye well that's good then. I mean at least there haven't been any freak storms."
"No, not lately, thank Faranth for that," Tamah replied between sips of klah.
E'rae was quiet for a bit, taking his time to eat his food and to bring his thoughts together.
"I've been thinking myself about going inland sometime soon to do some hunting. See if I can get some pelts." He knew a trader that would always take them, but it was an unknown scenario; if he would catch anything or not.
"Well, if you catch anything worth selling, I usually know which traders are around here just now," Tamah remarked.
"Good to know." He finished his meal, then sipped at his juice. He was in no real hurry at the moment, though he was mentally remembering what chores he had left to handle. "Has the fishing been good?"
"The usual," Tamah shrugged. "We are waiting for seasonal migration to start."
Nodding, E'rae finished off the juice, suddenly remembering he had to meet the tanners to see about some gear he needed. "Aye well clear skies to you. As for me, I've need to get off to the tanners." He stood up and began to gather his things.
Tamah nodded. "See you around, E'rae. Keep well." He started to gather up his dishes too.
