Description: Kustaava is late and M'galec makes sure she knows it.
Location: River Bluff Weyr
Date: month 9, day 6 of Turn 4
Kustaava knew she was late. She was trying to brush hair while running and tie it in to a tail. It was impossible, of course. She had pulled on the first clothes she could find and result was bit shabby: the pants needed washing and the shirt was inside out. She was muttering curses under her breath. **Why didn't you wake me up?** She asked accusingly from her lifemate.
}: But I did. You didn't want to get up. :{ Mindath replied.
"That girl will _never_ graduate into a real wing at this rate," M'galec muttered under his breath as he paced back and forth in front of the Weyr entrance.
}:Mindath's is on her way,:{ his bronze assured him.
Finally. "I am not going to wait here forever for her. You had best pass that message along to her."
"I'm here!" Ava declared breathless, waiving the brush. She came to a halt in front of the bronzerider.
The Weyrlingmaster Second took in the rather disheveled appearance of the greenrider. "Just woke up?"
"Yes, sir," Ava admitted, trying to figure out some place to put that darn brush.
M'galec looked at her suspiciously. "Drinking too much again, were you?" He was convinced that was all she did in her spare time, especially after witnessing the spectiacle she made of herself the morning after her green's Hatching.
"NO sir," Kustaava denied. She had been, however, been in bed with brownrider and his bluerider friend. It had left her very exhausted.
"Hmmm," he hummed disapprovingly. For some reason he didn't quite believe her. But that unimportant at the moment. "The female greenriders were in the classroom. Greenrider Ayanho has already finished her lecture and they have broken up into their groups. You were supposed to have been a group leader, but Oniya has had to take over the leadership of your group until you arrived. That is unacceptable. You know she is too young to be speaking about mating flights."
"Yes, I know," Ava said.
"Well, you will need to go in there and take over for her. There is nothing else to be done." Though M'galec intended to assign extra duties to Kustaava for her obvious lack of time management. "Now do you remember how the discussion groups work? You missed our review in the pre-lecture meeting."
"Yes, I do remember how it's done," Kustaava said ** I think...**
He doubted it. "You need to make the girls feel comfortable. Tell them about your own fears and doubts before your first Flight. Tell them about how you mentally and physically prepared yourself for them. Tell them what signs your dragon gave you before she was about to rise - did you feel irratiable, did her hide shine brighter... that sort of thing."
"Yes, sir," Ava said, hiding the brush behind her back. She couldn't remember any doupts or fears before Mindath's first flight, just excitement and nervousness.
"Right," M'galec said with a point in the direction of her classroom, "on your way."
"I'm going," Ava said and hurried off, happy to get rid of him. But she hadn't yet gotten rid of the darn brush.
