Description: Corowal's half-brother and his wife arrive with the riverboat.
Location: Emerald Falls Hold
Date: month 9, day 6 of Turn 4
Corowal watched Sungazer docking in. The routine was pretty much the same, he observed, whether it was a riverboat with paddlewheel or ocean-going sailing ship. The ropes were cast and tied to the poles, fenders dropped between the boat and platform and gangplank lowered.
The great wheel had slowed and now stood still. Corowal scanned the passengers on the deck to spot his brother. They were half-brother's actually. He saw Reatuir and waived.
"There he is!" Naydelsa smiled as she saw the figure waving from the dock. "Lord Corowal."
Reatuir turned his gaze to the dock and smiled. He raised his hand in a greeting, then let it drop. "He looks good. You seem happy to see him."
"It's been a while," Naydelsa settled for. "And you're right, he does look good."
"Indeed it has." Reatuir looked down at the water, gently lapping at the now still boat, then to his wife. He offered her his arm. "Shall we go meet him?"
"Yes, lets." She took her husband's arm, feeling a little thrill as she walked to the dock. It had been some time since she had seen her husband's brother, and after all, they had been very close.
Corowal to meet them. "Reatuir and Naydelsa! It's so nice to see you.
How are you been?" he greeted and slapped his half-brother's back.
He then took Naydelsa's hand to his own and kissed her cheek. "You look lovely as ever. How's the children?"
"Thank you," she said accepting the compliment gracefully. "Your nieces and nephews send their love and Reanay thought that she was old enough to accompany us."
"I'm sure she did," Corowal smiled and turned back to Reatuir. "How is our mother?" he asked. Same time he gestured a drudge to take their luggage.
"She is well." Reatuir moved aside as the drudge approached and gathered up their belongings. "She told me to tell you hello and send her love."
"Well, I'm glad to hear that. How was the trip on the riverboat?"
Corowal asked and guided them toward the waiting carriage outside the docks.
"Good," replied Naydelsa. "It was nice to have some time with Reatuir without the children around."
"How are things going with you?" Reatuir asked politely as he gently covered his wife's hand upon hsi arm with his. "Well, I hope?"
"Just fine. I've been busy and the kids keep getting into to trouble,"
Corowal replied with a grin.
"Not too much trouble I hope?"
Corowal sighed. "A broken ankle and a cut head, " he then proceed to tell them about Corofel's latest mishap with ladder and pail of water.
"Sweet Faranth, at least it wasn't worse than that," Naydelsa sounded concerned for her nephew. "I take it you spoke to him about it."
"It was kind of funny, after I got over the first scare, and we talked about at a great lenght. I guess he comes after me, I was a terrible prankster too, remember Reatuir?" Corowal said. His younger siblings had often been targets for his pranks.
Reatuir rolled his eyes and groaned dramatically. "Yes, I remember. I remember very well. Like the time you put a dead fish in my sheets."
"Just don't tell that to Corofel, or there's no end of yucky things in people's beds," Corowal said with a laughter.
"Perhaps I'll tell him," Reatuir grinned, his eyes flashing with mischief, "And suggest that he focus all of his pranks upon his father."
"Hahah, don't forget to mention that he will be left without desserts for months if he does that," Corowal retorted back.
"And don't either of you suggest anything like that to my children,"
said Naydelsa with a laugh.
"Of course not." Reatuir tugged at his shirt and tried to make himself as straight as possible. "Only Corowal's. I don't mind if he has to deal with the consequences."
"Now that I can deal with."
