Description: Ednan mets his father after six turn's separation.
Location: Harper Hall
Date: month 8, day 6 of Turn 4
Endras has taken a bath, shaved his face and changed to clean clothes. Now he paced the floor of the quest suite he had been given for his stay at the hall. He waited for his children. He had invited them to a supper with him. He was surprised by his own nervousness. He hadn't seen them in Turns, and felt like a lousy father.
The knock on the door almost made him jump out of his boots. He opened the door and found himself face to face with pretty young woman with his copper red hair and sparkling green eyes. She was also carrying a white, hairy bundle.
"Enilda? My goodness, what happened to my little girl and who is this beautiful young woman!"
"Daddy!" she had her mother's dimples when she smiled, Endras noticed.
"What is that white stuff?"
"That's my feline, Snowball", Enilda replied and let the beast down.
"Oh, Adventure is going to love him," Endras muttered when he let them properly in.

Ednan was late. His chores after classes had taken longer than expected and then he had spent more time grooming himself than was really necessary. After all, he was just meeting his father. But it was a father he hadn't seen in six turns, since he started as an apprentice at the dolphin hall. He found the right door at the Harper Hall and knocked it.
Behind the door, he could hear his sister voice and male voice. He pulled in a deep breath to calm his nerves. The door opened and Endan found himself face to face with his father. He looked just the way he remembered but older and sadder. They just stared each other for a long while. Their alikeness was apparent; both had same copper-red hair and same eyes. Even their body structure was same. Was that how Ednan was going to look like after fourty turns or so?
Enilda's voice broke of the silent moment: "Are you going stand there like wooden statues, or are you letting him in so we can eat?"
"Sorry. Hello, Ednan. You look fine," Endras replied with a sheepish grin.
"Evening, father," Ednan said rather formally and slipped in when the harper moved aside.
"Hi there Enilda," Ednan's voice was more relaxed when he greeted his sister. They at least met regular basis now that the harper hall was located in Dolphin Cove weyr.
They took a seats around the dinner table and started eating. The conversation was forcedly polite and awkward at first, broken with long, uneasy silences. But slowly they started to relax and the discussion started to flow more freely. The wine they enjoyed with the food helped too. Expect for Enilda, both her father and big brother thought her too young to have wine. She was naturally social and talkative so she didn't need wine's help in any case.
The supper lasted 'till late. After they had eaten, they continued the discussion on living room. They had a lot to catching up to do. Endras hadn't seen Ednan for six turns, since he started his apprenticeship in Dolphin Hall. Enilda he hadn't seen since few months after his wife's death, when he started his travelling. The master harper was feeling guilty about it. Enilda was his youngest child, and he had abandoned her after her mother's death, when she was just a thirteen turns old, disap-pearing to the wide world, trying overcome his own grief with adventures. He had left Enilda with Endrion, the oldest one of the siblings, knowing Endrion would take good care of her. But, still, he had abandoned her, when she most needed him. He had no such feelings about Ednan. Ednan had left on his own, to practice craft of his own choosing. Endras was proud of him, and told him so. That actually made Ednan blush.
Endras also apologized his daughter for leaving her behind.
"Pfsw, dad, forget it. No harm done. Besides, I had Endrion wrapped around my fingers, so I got what I wanted from him," she said, dismissing his worries. "And look at me now, I'm apprentice harper, a real harper!" she continued, "That's all I ever dreamed of."
"Well, I'm delighted to know you both are happy and doing well in your lifes. And _that_ is all a father can dream of," Endras said, lifting his glass.
There came a crashing sound and angry meow from the next room, accompanied by ferocious hissing.
"What was that?" Startled Ednan asked.
"Adventure!"
"Snowball!"
Ednan leaned backwards, grinnig. "Sounds like a mess."
