Aivorn was cursing when he guided his runner among the trees. A group of young herdbeasts had gotten free and had scattered into the woods around the hold. Now he and his staff were trying to find them and herd them back, prefertable before wild felines found them. He had taken pair of shepher-canines with him. They had ran ahead of him and the runner, and now he could hear their excited bark. "They found something," he grunted, and urged the runner into a canter when the trees thinned out.

Erilite was rather upset when she returned to her camp to find it occupied by a herdbeast. She sighed as she sat on a stump and watched it nibble on grass. She could already hear canines in the distance growing closer. It wasn't long before the canines came barking into her camp, causing the herdbeast to flee. **Skidish beast** she thought.

One of the canines continued after the fleeing herdbeast while the other one came to sniff the girl. The tan-coloured canine wagged it's tail in friendly fasion.

Erilite allowed the canine to sniff her as she looked about at the wrekage of her camp. She shrugged. She glanced up when she heard the distictive sound of a runner at full gallop. **Well, this day has turned out rather interesting already. Now what?**

Aivorn reined the runner to stop when he arrived the clearing. His gaze swept over the camp and saw what has happened. "Hello, Miss. I've looking for runaway herdbeasts. One of them been here?"

She just nodded, and motioned in the direction in which it had headed. As she did, she wondered if this man might help her find the man she was told to look for. She quickly walked to the remnants of her fire and grabbed up her slate and chalk.

^Do you know a Corowal?^ she wrote and showed him.

Aivorn was bit perplexed at first by her actions. "You don't talk? And yes, I know Corowal. He's the Lord Holder here," the beastcrafter answered.

Erilite tilted her her head to the side a bit. So, the man she was told to find was a Lord Holder. This was proving to be interesting indeed. She sighed when he asked if she couldn't talk.

^I have never been able to. I have no voice. My slate is my voice. I was told Corowal had known my mother and may know my father. I search for my father.^ she showed him her slate. The words were small and neat. She didn't tell him her thoughts on who was really her father.

Aivorn felt pang of pity for her. It must be terrible to be unable to talk. "As I said, he's Lord Holder, so getting to see him may be tricky. You should try to get an appointment with him from one of the stewards," Aivorn said.

^If you can help me to get to the hold I will deal with seeing him. I must see him.^ She stood tall. Her eyes never left his. Her pale blond hair hung in ragged strands.

"Sure, I can do that. Do you ride?" Aivorn replied and asked. He dismounted his runner.

^yes I ride. Thank you for your help.^ She nodded. Finally she was going to make progress. Perhaps now her journey may come to an end.

"No problems, lassie," Aivorn replied when he helped her up on to his runner.
